Games that come close are ngb&2, dmc3, sf3ts, motw, rb2, lb2, St, VH, chronological trigger, suikoden 2, ff6, fft, indy500, Daytona USA, Sega rally, scud racer etc.
Edit: you should only sell your gamestation if your old one is 100% emulated. Like a SNES, neogeo, cps123 etc. Meaning don’t sell off your ps2/3, Saturn etc.
Y’all thought I was kidding on Oz. Go read his post again. He actually took the time to EXPLAIN, IN DETAIL, WHAT MAKES HIS GAMES GREAT. IN AN EXTREMELY CONVINCING WAY.
Metal Gear Solid 3
Perfect mix of storytelling and gameplay
Megaman X
My favorite platformer bar none
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Perfect beat em up RPG combo that only gets better with friends
Marvel Vs Capcom3/ Street Fighter 4
These 2 had to share a slot I’ve had a long love hate relationship with both but at the end of the day when it comes to both series I feel that they’ve gotten better with each iteration and this is where they currently are so there you have it
It’s such a hard choice as suikoden is my favorite rpg series. 3 being the furthest down the timeline makes it the most exciting for me. The reveal of the big bad was cool. Having an assload of true runes was amazing. Chris, geddoe and Hugo are all interesting. The grass landers are an interesting bunch.
Hopefully there’s news of a western release for GE: Resurrection and GE2: Rage Burst sometime in the future.
Who knows if/when though.
Thoughts on the new elements in GE: Resurrection:
[list]
[*]The aerial/multiple/dashing ‘Devour’ stuffs was pretty cool to see in action.
I kinda have an idea on how I would implement the action in my gameplay stuffs, though it’s utility would likely depend on weapon selection/gun type/Aragami matchup/etc.
[*]Dyaus Pita ‘makeover’ is interesting.
It would’ve been cool if other Aragami got makeover stuffs, as well.
[*]The weapon stuffs from GE2: Rage Burst is a welcome addition.
Looking forward to trying out the new stuff, like the Charge Spear and the Variant Size (Scythe, apparently) looks interesting.
IIRC, GE2: Rage Burst had introduced 1 new gun type (Shotgun), besides individual gun-class changes. Maybe some of these things will be added in, as well?
[*]Hmm… “Transformation attacks” return?
‘Sword Mode’ to ‘Gun Mode’ already was a thing in GE: Burst as a quick-form (mode) change in combo transition from (ground) sword attack to (aerial) gun attack stuffs.
According to the GE wiki, it looks like something was changed up with that particular action instance for GE2, which instead causes the selected gun’s special action to be used, rather than the upward slash sword-to-gun transition maneuver.
[*]The after-story leading into GE2 should be interesting to see.

If anything, I wonder if there will be any (new) news regarding Bullet stuffs.
You can download and edit other people’s courses but you can’t upload an edited course that you downloaded online…no stealing, each version of mario will have their own physics (I.E. NSMB has access to wall jump and butt slam, SMB can’t hold shells etc.), and everyone at first will only be able to upload 10 stages…but the more popular your stages become the more you can start putting up…no definite number given on how high but apparently it’s fairly large.
I heard before E3 started that Nintendo was going to have some sort of closed off meeting of sorts and I kinda wondered what it was for but guessed it was about NX…Looks like they started showing some 3rd parties what they have planned.
Miyamoto also says that he’s taking a step back when it comes to the creation of this console. He says he’s looking at it but he’s not really giving much input into it this go round. Supposedly some of the people who got a look at it were positive about it. Of course I also believe this happened with Wii U in the beginning as well.
Here’s what I want from the Nintendo NX. (WARNING! NERDY ASS LIST BELOW!!!)
Spoiler
- X86 architecture (same as the other consoles and most PC’s makes it very easy to port to). - More RAM than the other systems and a more powerful video card. The other systems have been around for two years now Nintendo should be able to easily design a more powerful system now for the same price.
The combination of these. - System launches with a regular style PS4/XBONE style controller as the standard however Wii/-U Pro, Classic and gamepad (screen functionality depends on the game) controllers are compatible with the system (also motion depending on the game). - Ability for developers to easily and freely patch titles, similar to how Steam handles it.
These should be good for getting 3rd party publishers/developers on board as the system will have familiar architecture to the other systems but have more power to work with and they don’t have to worry about designing games around a gimmick controller.
As for other features I want/would like to see.
- A unified account system for your NX, Wii-U, 3DS and Nintendo Mobile systems/titles. - At least a 500gb or larger hard drive with access to use your own external hard drive to store stuff like the Wii-U. - Backwards compatibility with Wii-U titles and Wii-U Virtual Console/eShop titles. - GameCube titles join Virtual Console. - Amiibo and Miiverse functionality returns, Wii-U Amiibo’s will work on NX (a given). - A solid launch line up of first and third party titles + indies. - A console name that doesn’t suck and doesn’t have Wii in the title. - A not ridiculous price tag, $400 should be the max for the system itself.
Unless the software line-up is stellar I doubt the NX will be something worth investing in for a while.
Heck, Xbone and PS4 have been out for 2 years as you’ve mentioned and they still don’t have anything I feel is worth getting. Unless Nintendo really steps up their game I doubt the NX will fair much better for at least the first year.
I still want a Wii U on the side for a couple games but shit i don’t think my wallet can handle if NX isn’t backwards compatible with Wii U, which im kinda doubting.
