Ubi gave me Rainbow six siege, about 4 really really good assassins creed games, decent farcry and a in game rewards system that transfers from game to game and could be used for in game shit… just for playing their shit.

Maybe I am missing the bigger picture but Ubi has been aight by me.

sounds like you’re about to fight Alma.

Anyone celebrating this shit with ubisoft is an idiot who doesn’t know hopw bad it could be for the industry in the long run.

Blizzard went to shit when they got bought by Vivendi. Iirc it was them who canned the original Diablo 3 by Blizzard north which led to the cel-shaded disappointment that is the D3 we know it as. D3 is a good Arpg but a shitty Diablo game.

@DrellyFish Haha that “nonsense” you’re talking about is why some people prefer ng1 to 2. The puzzles and backtracking make it feel more like an action/adventure than just a straight up action game. I like 2 over 1 personally, 1 is more of a defensive, pick your moments kind of action game whereas 2 is about going fucking nuts and creating openings whenever you want. The gameplay is much faster paced as well and the reworked obliteration tech is so much more satisfying compared to just stabbing an enemy to death on knockdown ala ng1 or onimusha.

I bought the remake of Shadow of the Beast.
The game is dope, i feel that it makes justice to the originals.
Plus they managed to top what was already an amazing ost.

Same here. I like Far Cry, Rayman and Prince of Persia. The only thing I dislike is Uplay but they are great otherwise.

Yeah that is not a good thing at all, Vivendi already controls too much of the Video Game market as it is and anyone who finds it humorous doesn’t know shit about the industry or influence. I am not even an Ubisoft fan but this is the worst possible scenario.

Is there anything more I can find on these guys? First time I’ve heard of Vivendi.

Vivendi if I recall are the parent company of Activision and Blizzard. They are responsible for the two companies merging.

NG2 to me is the perfect sequel. at its core its still the same, but the addition of new mechanics makes it play very differently to the point where it would split the fanbase not with which was the best, but which one they enjoyed more.

by comparison i feel like all Devil May Cry or Dark Souls games can be played in pretty much the same way with varying degrees of “stuff”

I’m laughing because this is the shit I saw coming years ago when motherfuckers were trying to tell me more Hollywood and mobile shit was “da wave of da fewcha” and that “games needed to grow up and become art forms”, when all that was going to happen was the cannibalization of the industry.

Well here you go… This is where your “art” and “growing up” has lead us.

Enjoy your stay.

I love how Po lazily and ignorantly groups together everything he hate, like who the fuck are you addressing? what does the mobile side of gaming and art have to do with Ubisoft? What’s wrong with growing up? You should try it sometime.

@Sonichuman I feel a Ubisoft thead title change would be fitting =P

Only Ubisoft game I’ve enjoyed this gen was Trials Fusion. Hell of a game, though.

Assassin’s creed 2 is still a gem from ubisoft. They tainted it with the other AC crap but AC2 was so good

I feel like Capcom is somehow to blame for all of this.

I agree ac 2 was the best of the series (the entire trilogy really) but you can’t ignore the greatness that is black flag. The last great mp experience from AC with excellent visuals with controls that complemented the sea very well. The story while not as historically interesting as ac2, it was told very well.

And Starcraft:Ghost?

It makes me feel good inside when I see how many of you like Ninja Gaiden 2. :bee:

And bad news bout Ubisoft. AC2 is GOAT Assassins Creed.
Definitely not a bad company, future of gaming looking bleak.

I was skeptical, but Fire Emblem Tokyo Mirage Sessions is actually looking pretty damn good.
Collectors Edition looks dope.

Encase Po didn’t make it clear. Fuck Ubisoft.
Nothing of value lost, even Ass Creed.
