-Graphics & animations are about what I’d expect from this. Ever since they announced it’d be a four-part episodic affair at $24, I knew the production values weren’t going to be much.
-RE4~6 style stun is back (i.e. shooting weak point insta-stuns -> guaranteed melee QTE FTW). Good for those that liked that; I honestly preferred the bulletsponges in Rev 1. It was more similar to old-school REs where even regular zombie encounters ran the risk of a lucky headshot vs half a Beretta clip wasted. The only time I liked the former mechanic was in Merc mode where high scores hinged on consistency & being methodic.
-It looks like Moira’s flashlight is the new Genesis Scanner
. This, more than anything else, deflates my hype for this game. I hated the tedium of stopping in every room & switching to the scanner to look for ammo/secrets. Now they made it even worse by having you switch to a totally different character first.
-I’m reading people saying Raid Mode is back, but can’t find official confirmation.
Also, new Sleeping Dogs Triad Wars news on Monday.
“Our new PC online game.” I’ll wait 'til next week, but I don’t think we’ll be getting the single-player SD sequel we were all hoping for.
WTF is this SF4 Omega Edition? Sagat with Tiger Raid? Blanka with teleport up-ball? Ken with diagonal fireballs? It’s like SF2 Rainbow Edition all over again
. Or maybe more like Hyper Fighting; creating new moves without actually adding any new animation
