Video Game Confessions

I’ll buy new MK games knowing full well that the actual fighting sucks.

I also used to think they had interesting character designs (1-3)… Recently theyve been doing seemingly random mix and matches of random asian looking muscle bound guys with irrelevant Kanji on their attire complete with oriental sounding names to sound cool… like Hotaru or Dairou… and why do so many of them have the flappy crotch cloth? Very uninspired

Oh man, I remember playing Time Crisis 3 so much that I was able to beat it in one credit. And then a friend had told me that you would get a gold star next to your name if you finished it without getting hit. (You got a star next to your name if you got on the time scores and finished the game in a single credit) Needless to say, I had to do it, only to not see a gold star next to my name and only a regular star.

But yeah, I loved Time Crisis 3. I played it so much that I went to numerous arcades in 3 different cites in Southwestern Texas and New Mexico getting the top times on each arcade I visited.

Fuck outta here hate. TC3 was/is the stanky shit

I played Sacred 2 for 18 straight hours. I would have played more, but the game froze and then I realised my body was exhausted. My PS3 was screaming from being on all that time.
I needed a stratagey guide to beat Alundra. It wasn’t that the actual monster killing was hard, but the puzzles in that game are damn near impossible to figure out, I don’t care how smart you think you are. That’s the first time I needed a guide for any game.

Oh yeah, I also plan to use my gameshark to beat Vagrant Story, that is if I can ever bring myself to go back and play it.

A few years back I got really into Diablo 2, ended up playing extremely competitively (well, competitively within the active dueling community, which was fairly large) and dropped well over $400 on the game buying perfect legit items to build about 6 different dueling characters (so many items were duped and poofed back then that it was better to buy legit from one of the two sites that were known to be safe).

I then started dropping another couple hundred at d2jsp buying credits there to buy rare items to improve my characters even more since there were certain items that couldn’t be bought straight from a site.

In the end though I wound up getting sick of the game, sold my characters items along with some EXTREMELY rare names, which I had gotten myself through friends who were quitting playing, for $500, then started doing sports bets on d2jsp betting on NFL and NBA games, and ended up with $300 worth of credits, had only paid $10 for the credits to start betting, so I wound up making a $100-$200 profit over the course of a year by illegally (according to site rules) selling my credits for cash.

Ah Time Crisis. I remember when 2 (and eventually 3) got up to my town in a random ass arcade place. SO MUCH FUN. I have never NOT had fun playing TC.

This post started out as huge proportions of fail but then turned into instant win.

but I completed the whole game when I was 14! I didn’t need a strategy guide at all, HAHA IN YOUR FAAACEEE!!! HAHAAAAA :arazz:

My mom brought a Wii for Christmas for the family. We played it the next day and never touched it since. It like an decorative ornament that sits next to the Plasma.

No I really do like it, no joke. It’s on my PC and I’m playing through it currently. The storyline is really good IMO.

Okay, okay, your joke is pretty good. You can stop now though.

I’m a huge SNK mark, but XII is responsible for a fighting game hiatus of well over a year. If MvC3 and XIII dissapoint, I may hang up my gloves for good.

I used to love Gamecube with a passion. This was when I was very young and stupid. I thought that PS2 and Xbox sucked, I was still a Nintendo fanboy. I had subscribed to the Nintendo Power magazine thing, and I would always put up the posters they had in the magazine even if it were for games I never played. I bought a load of games for GC that I would never even think of buying now, I recently took them to this electronics store and traded in about over 10 games with a few other games as well. Only games that are worth getting a GC for is Melee, F Zero GX, and Double Dash, everything else is worthless… But yeah, I pretty much regret buying all of those adventure single player type games now. Since all I play now is Call of Duty and Street Fighter, and sometimes Starcraft Broodwar (All Online Capable games), I kind of look back and feel bad about how I got my dad to use his money on all that stuff. But I can sort of make up for it by tellin my little cousins not to get single player games and such.

Meh, some games that I really need to start playing is Blazblue and SSF 4 more. And I should throw SF 2 HD into that list as well. Even MvC 2 hasnt gotten alot of play out of me.

I hated how I bought multiple FF games knowing full well JRPG’s suck shit (aren’t in my interest) and just because the hype. Haven’t finished one of them.

I bought Valkyria Chronicles late in 2009 when it was on sale, bought my first PS3 in Feb 2010, and I still have not played VC =/

Oh man, I almost forgot about how much of a fucking Mortal Kombat fanatic I was. I can’t believe how much I was into that horrible bullshit. I had the Old Xbox MKs, Deadly Alliance, Deception and Armageddon. I had unlocked absolutely everything in those games and I would just dominate the computer all the time because there weren’t that many people online to play with. But man I was so into it my 10th and early 11th grade years. I was in football, and alot of the guys knew me cuz of how I would always be talkin about some MK nonsense, like the story line, or sometimes I would even do the fighting stances from the game, and if some of yall have played it, then you can only imagine how much of a fucking idiot I made of myself. I can’t believe I found Mortal Kombat before I did SF, MK has the worst fighting engine, if you can even call it that, I’ve ever played with. All it is is knock your opponent in the air with probaly your weapon, and then you just juggle with the longest auto combo the character has for 50% of your opponents life bar and repeat…

And also, I have never played Goldeneye for N 64

Yeah, I was an MK fanatic. I still like the franchise, just not seriously. It’s good for a diversion, and I like a lot of the characters. New MK annoys the hell out of me though, get the fuck outta here with that console exclusive character bullshit.

I remember how badly I feel for the Super Smash Bros Brawl hype. We were going around everywhere trying to find the Nintendo Wii, Gamestop didnt have it, Wal Mart didnt have it, Best Buy didnt have it, but we did find it somewhere eventually. We got there, but it was 400 bucks… They gave us some explanation, but my dad bought it anyway. The games I got were Galaxy 1, which I have returned, and Brawl. Brawl was good for that first weekend where you dont eat or worry about hygiene until you have school on Monday, but then I realized that people dont play it competitively like they do Melee. Then I also figured out how to play it online, and the online experience was completely terrible. I hate Nintendo now, the only game I am waiting for them to make is F Zero for the Wii, cuz F Zero GX was the only game on the GC that was better than the predecessor on the N64

Never played any FF games at all. Ever.

-I traded NBA Live 95, Final Fantasy II, Super Punchout, Super Bomberman w/ 4-player adapter, & $50 for a 3DO system w/ 8 games! (Reason why i wanted to get it cuz they have Adult Only games but i never bought one)
-I bought a Xbox 360 for SF II Hyper Fighting
-Resident Evil games are too scary for me to play
-I used to put paper clips in arcade machines so quarters would get stuck, then i would kick it & a bunch of quarter will come out & i go play Yie ar Kung fu
-Mario 2 is my fav Mario
