Here’s the thing that gets me: I wouldn’t be upset with them at all. Ya know, if they didn’t try to claim MadCatz was at fault. They could have very easily pulled their preorders down well before they did and they wouldn’t have had hundreds of people pissed off at them. But between that and the whole restocking fee fiasco, it leaves a permanent stain on them that shows they weren’t out for the interest of their customers, but just to see how many people that they could nickel and dime their way out of through taking way too many preorders for pure profit. That’s degrees of shady I don’t think even Gamestop has the balls to do.
I agree with you 100% . Well maybe now that he has charged some people 5% restocking fee he can buy his self some high heels and a micro mini and rotate on those tournament sticks on youtube . Because he looks like he was hit hard by the Fairy wand LOL
Here is the deal to OSF, your company has lied time and time again to its customers. Every person here has had to put up with BS excuses and rude customer service. I think it is brazen of you to come on here and speak to customers in your tone because these people make and break your store. They have every reason to be frustrated since every other store seems to get in their TE sticks and deliver them in a timely fashion while your rude customer service delivers poor excuses. Your tone quite frankly seems to represent your establishment very well: Piss poor and quite frankly unbecoming of a business that appreciates customers and if your store were a legit business (which it is not) I would be very disappointed. It is every appalling that so many here put faith in your business only to be disrespected. Many here at this thread are going to make sure that this gets out to many people in this community to never do business with VGC again.
Just remember. The first lesson in retail is the customers make and break your business.

Hell Murder call you’re local Game Crazy’s. The ones over by me have had huge supplies. Called the day after I canceled from VGC and picked one up easy. Go the site type in your zip at the store locator and call down the list. You’ll hit eventually. They’ll even hold it for you.

It’s quite apparent that these guys racked up the pre-orders to an extremely large amount that couldn’t be fufilled so that customers would have to cancel and would get charged their restocking fee. Money in the bank!

Guys, it is what it is. VGC didn’t lie (at least not to me), their mistake was taking on too many preorders than they possibly could fill and then being vague on the details. I understand when a company does not want to release their preorder information, but if they really did take on 1000 or so preorders then they really should have made the situation more clear to customers who weren’t looking elsewhere because they believed they were getting a stick from VGC. Also, people whose cards were charged have something to gripe about (mine wasn’t) IMHO. $150 + shipping is a lot of money to some people, especially when you have no stick to show for it. But the bottom line is we were all desperate to get a stick, and Madcatz woefully underestimated demand. When the supply is low, obviously the big stores are going to get priority and the small Mom & Pop shops are going to get the shaft. Yes I agree taking on so many preorders was a poor business decision but can you honestly say that you expected your preorder from a small company to actually come through on time when nobody else was taking any more preorders? I know I didn’t. So be upset with VGC if you want, but like Old Skool Fool said, bitching and moaning might make you feel a little better but it won’t get you a stick any faster.
Speaking of, I do not understand why people are busting on Old Skool Fool so hard. At least the guy has the guts to come on this forum and speak out about the situation. Just because you are mad that you didn’t get your arcade stick on time doesn’t mean you should be blasting on this dude; I’m sure that he would ship out all the orders tomorrow if he could but its simply not going to happen. And why be so childish as to make fun of how he looks? I don’t see any of you guys posting yourself on youtube. Give the guy a break, he’s just trying to do his job, and maybe he doesn’t take himself too seriously. IMO he’s a decent looking guy, and he’s coming into this hornets’ nest so I give him props for that.
So take a deep breath, cancel your orders, and sign up for wiialerts. I hope you all get your sticks soon because they are really awesome. 
Side note: my brother who knows nothing about sticks checked out the TE and looked at me like I’m insane for spending so much money on it

He told me that Mad Catz is holding a lot of sticks, sending them out at like 100 at a time until they have a shit ton, then they’re going to send them all out in one big ass shipment. k just ordered from ebay… I got it for 209.99 with free shipping, that’s not bad compared to most places charging $230+ and you have to pay shipping. I live in va and seller is in jersey so most likely with get to me by wednesday :O… I can’t waitt!!! he gets 60 dollars profit, but that’s some help right there and he has the stick on hand. i would wait for gamestop, but i keep checking their site and no luck :sad:, not even 100 miles that there’s a gamestop that has it.

I understand your theory is possible, but it’s seriously leaning towards heavy optimism. There still isn’t a single confirmed delivery here on SRK, and even if try to give him the benefit of the doubt, we can’t assume the absolute best for him. The “benefit of the doubt” situation is simply apathy towards his position. Sure, he may be coming in here to talk, but in no way is he helping. Apparently, all he’s done is enraged more people with his arrogant form of writing.
i dont know why you guys are still talking about VGC, cancel what you have and just walk into a store… they are widely available as far as I’m concerned!! I walked into a ebgames and they had 6 TE and 4 SE in stock, I picked up 2 TE sticks and left a happy man!!!
umm… eb games where? coz some people are in different parts of the world and i believe ebgames are in the US, europe and australia. in australia, it seems to be harder to get (and i mean there are none available). im assuming everyone here is referring to the US :sad:
