I just cancelled my VGC preorder from Feb. The guy was really nice, didn’t even mention the 5% restocking fee. By the time I registered here to reply to the thread, the money was already refunded to my paypal account.
Didn’t give me the run around at all… definitely not what I was expecting.
As it turns out, I really can learn to solder, learn basic woodworking skills, order parts from japan, and build my own stick quicker than VGC can get me one.

I preordered on January 22. I’m not cancelling, just waiting it out. Have an SE stick in the meantime. If anyone is in that rare group who received one, please let us know that there is a glimmer of hope.

Yes … I canceled my order last week with VGC and now My Street Fighter 4 TE Stick from Amazon .com is on it’s way to my house as we speak hell yeah :rock: They had like 10 instock where I got mine and there totally sold out of them now !
This was my email from Amazon.com telling me my TE was shipped out as of 4-28-09 .

Well, all I can say is cancel your order like I did and pick one up with someone else even if you pay $40 more rather then wait for a place like VGC that will never come through for you and will keep feeding you lies. There just wasting your time.And by them doing that your going to have a even tougher time finding one I bet .
guys, long time listener, 1st time caller … here’s my story:
ordered 2 TEs from VGC in late jan, same story every time i emailed them to check their status … and been waiting ever since.
however i preordered 1 from buy.com today and overnighted another from GameStop.com today. (finally)
just called VGC and cancelled. at least there were no questions asked and no problems about cancelling it … sounded like everyone’s jumping ship, and i dont blame em.
i wish i woulda known earlier. i haven’t even SF4 played in a few weeks =|
cancelled mine today. I couldn’t wait any longer. I have an injured thumb and can’t play with a d-pad. I should get my money back by tomorrow. BOOOO VGC BOOOOOOOOO…I called my gamestop, and they told me to keep checking with them if there are any in stock.
Dude , Go to Amazon.com There are other places that have them there. Your gonna pay a little more around $40 bucks more but hey you will get one at least without the headache of trying to find one some where else for $149.99 . And you would be getting it like next week for sure . Mine was sent out today :woot: Well you did the right thing by canceling with VGC thats for sure Con-grats of that . You will be lucky if you see one by summer with those guys at VGC or better yet not at all. I saw that they raised the prices for a while on there Hori pro 3 arcade sticks to like $199.99 now they lowered it back down to like $129.99 lol There trying to take advantage of people big time which is no way to do business in my opinion !
If you really want it that fast then go with what Lyssa said but otherwise just have patience, more and more are shipping out and in stock.
I was able to snag one off Gamestop.com on April 22nd. That stock lasted for nearly an hour, so that should be apparent that there is a lot going out now.
Madcatz has stated that their next big batch is expected May. So stay on the lookout and wish you luck.
Thanks. Yea I’m trying to bargain hunt around the net… see which one is cheaper. I saw on ebay the guy was selling for $2k+ , but he still hasn’t changed the price. yeah they did raise the price on what they’re advertising. I was like wtf.

I found it for like $217.00 plus $4.00 S/H I would say its about $41.00 more then what VGC was going to charge Because my pre-order with them for the TE was 180.13 with S/H out the door. So I coughed up 41 more dollars no biggy just nice to know the nightmare is over after dealing with those guys over at VGC you know because those guys had me on my last nerve when that happens look out LMAO Someone about to fly over the counter lol ! We all deserve one after dealing with them for sure =)
I’m going for the 360 TE…The ones they are shipping at gamestop are for ps3 :O. Thanks for the help. I know these people online(ebay, amazon) are trying to make a profit. So if I bought it for about that much with free shipping, the person will make $65 profit. It’s ok cause mad catz isn’t helping at all. Might as well help someone out. They didn’t even update their stock on the SE stick at VGC, saying its preoder eta 4/27/09 and there was no update after that. They didn’t even charge me for 5% restock fee cause they know that they’re going to be charging something for something they don’t have on hand. I’m glad I canceled mine and decided on getting a TE. I would have spendt as much for the SE. cause extra parts total up $80 so 79.99+80=159.99…somewhat the price of an TE…so I’m getting the TE instead. VGC Why advertise if you can’t deliver? You should stop accepting preorder’s if you know you can get in the shipment. I used paypal for my money’s sake. Never order from VGC(the C stands for “CON-artists”). Thank god i got my refund.

Yeah, Well Good Luck waiting for VGC to deliver there broken promises ! I feel that I waited long enough with VGC and felt it was time to move on and to try to find one some where else . And I did just that .To me thats mission accomplished !! And I must say it was a great Decision on my part . Because it’s being shipped to me as we speak. other wise I would still be waiting for a TE stick like you are not knowing if or when I would be getting one or not .
That’s true SilentRage03 buying the SE would have ran you right around $160.00 after all the sanwa upgrades for sure. I was going to go with arcadeinabox as a last resort .If I could not find a TE stick because this place called arcadeinabox.com makes some really nice custom joysticks. That you can custom make how ever you want. You can even send them art work and they will put it on your arcade stick .Plus pick what kind of button’s you want and what kinda of lay out you want as well . They carry Sanwa parts even .
But I still had to get my hands on a SF4 TE Stick just because I feel it’s the best arcade stick ever made by far.Also because, The TE FightStick is aesthetically inspired by Taito’s Vewlix cabinet (the standard arcade housing for SF 4), and features six white Sanwa buttons and a white Sanwa joystick planted on a glossy, crimson red finish and splattered with black ink . Something just kinda tells you inside thats this is the one lol
What I don’t get is why hasn’t VGC put up a thing saying "hey sorry guys just its gonna be a bit’ or something. They haven’t said shit. Just ordered from another site…gonna have to cancel VGCs now i guess…
