The guy who Answers the Vgc customer service department is Randy. The main guy in the Cs department is Dave. The are full of shit bro trust me i had to let those bitches have it. The guy markman talked to was Dave. Dave is full of fucking shit trust me. I caught that punk rock bitch in a whole bunch of lies. He tried to tell me they would charge me 5% lol. I was like ok do that and watch how fast i sue your little pussy ass. Nuff said i went off when those fags called me back for no reason?

Old Skool Fool PM’d me. I swear to God this guy has 2 brain cells with the way he reasons things out. VGC finds it ok to hire morons like this. I get this picture in my head of all these guys hanging outside a Brooklyn stoop in jump suits with a cardboard sign that reads: Veedio Gam Sentrul. They’re all eating spaghetti and meatballs waiting for their turn on the 1 TE stick they got from another store which they had to collectively save their allowance from Mom and Pop to get, LOL. He keeps challenging my SFIV skills but makes no mention of the TE sticks not being delivered. It’s official, Video Game Central blows…DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.
yea so. I went to a GS yesterday and the guy that works there told me they don’t have the stick but they could get it by Monday!!

LOL That “customer service” at VGC sure wants to push that 5% restocking fee. I just called to cancel my preorder and they tried to make me pay the 5%. I had told them I know that people have been able to cancel without the 5% charge and they tried to tell me “Oh they cancelled when we had no estimate on the date and now they are shipping”
So I tell them, no actually these people called and cancelled in the last week. And how can you tell me they are shipping now, I’ve been told they’ve been shipping since the beginning of April. So they tell me well no major retailer has gotten them in. To which I reply, oh really? Then how was it that I was able to order one from BestBuy.com today? And they paused in disbelief, said to hold on a minute, put me on hold then waived the 5% fee. So now I couldn’t be happier!
Now maybe they DO have sticks coming in this very week or hell maybe even today, but it doesn’t make up for the fact that they have been giving all of us the runaround, saying week after week that the Fighsticks were arriving any day. So for anyone else who might be cancelling from VGC, make sure you fight against the 5% fee if they try to make you pay it.
You do not have to pay any fees when canceling these assholes. If they don’t remove it, dispute it.
Just for shits and giggles I called today and asked about the status of my order.
A nice lady answered and transfered me to I guess customer service or w.e and I it sounded like the same dude I talked to before.
So he looks up my order and tells me the same thing about it coming soon and email will go out when it is shipped, I figured yeah okay was expecting this anyways. Then I asked him if I could add in a free t shirt with my order since I didn’t add it at the beginning and he was like sure what size? Said large and he said it was done. I said I didn’t want the fat body picture and he told me that it is chosen randomly.

It seems like the only major problems with the TE sticks were from madcatz and not really VGC.
Despite having lurked for years and having played sf since v1, I’ve never wanted to make a post more than now. We’re all on a sinking ship it seems? would it be a long shot to assume that these guys are getting their sticks from shady distributors that overpromised them too?. I never saw markmans deleted post, maybe they made legitimate ammends with madcatz for direct distribution, maybe they threatened him for some sort of libel.
the worst case scenario is that they wont get any in at all and know this right now. I imagine they would be averse to even opening themselves up to the potential class legal action if they cancel the orders themselves in fessing up to this, and are perhaps waiting for ppl to cancel voluntarily (the 5% restocking fee even getting mentioned at this point is ridiculous).
best case scenario, is that they’ve actually made way into the madcatz direct distribution, and made a legitimate order with them that has a new, legitimate delivery date of the end of the month, meaning we get them all by early may (albeit with the sour taste that this all has left).
For all their shortcomings, gamestop at least tried to make ammends with their customers with the wall scrolls (they had ‘legitimate’ order number shortages too). I know these guys are a smaller operation, but the interest collecting in their coffers off our presales for 4 months alone could buy something im assuming at the least, even if they couldn’t give a damn about their customer satisfaction level (heck they’re oviously trying to market to the sf crowd, sponsoring gootecks and all).
not the most moral abiding business model to be sure.

I just ordered 2 HRAP for the PS3 with an ETA for 05/10 (may 10th)… and I am PRAYING that the past 12 pages of shitting on VGC doesn’t happen with the HRAP’s too… what are my chances?

Well I don’t think it’s Hori you have to worry about, I would be more worried with VGC pulling their BS lies again. Just look at the ETA dates for any of the Mad Catz products and how it kept changing on a weekly basis and they STILL have no firm date. They’ll also pull any excuse out of their ass to explain why like how no major retailers are getting any, even though I’ve seen restocks from Best Buy, Gamestop, and Gameshark.
So hopefully they didn’t put that date of 5/10 up at random and aren’t just taking pre-orders without actually having an idea of what their allotment is. I know that Hori originally planned only one run of the HRAP but decided to make a second one after they saw the demand. However I couldn’t find anything about WHEN that second batch would come. Another website said they wouldn’t be in until July, so hopefully you won’t have to wait until late Summer before you get yours.
i cancelled my order with them, it’s just taking too long and who knows how many ppl are ahead of me on the pre order. BUT a good thing is, after that i went into a gamestop and voila, there was one TE sitting on the table next to their game cabinet. without hesistant, i bought it. the staff told me that it just came in, and only one, and she hasn’t seen one of these in months. i was like :). that’s the end of the wait for me.

Good luck I guess…and PRAY harder as I am still waiting on 2 TE sticks that they still haven’t shipped out any at all…and I am calling right now to cancel 1 as I got 1 from Gamestop online.
