Me and Jaron were able to play it for a couple of hours with Armondo, and this is what I can tell you from what I played:
Dee Jay:
A lot of good shit. His light fireball is really slow so you can basically catch up to it by walking and creates a lot of mixup. However, he has very few ultra setups, most of them requiring the corner. Definitely a good character, probably below top tier.
T. Hawk:
Shits on Zangief in my opinion. All of his grabs do more damage. Heās the biggest character in the game and can duck under Zangiefās lariat after the first hit. His standing fierce looks identical to Zangiefās standing strong slap, but since itās fierce it does way more damage and has more priority. Definitely a character Iām gonna learn.
Adon:
Straight ass. Moving on.
Gen:
Can still medium kick to hands. I donāt know why people say he canāt. What he canāt do is do another medium kick hands after the first one. Although, you can medium kick to ex-hands and then do another medium kick to hands afterwards. His jump arc has changed and looks like everyone elseās, so that kills his cross-up game.
Overall, the game looks better graphic wise, but some characters feel slower than in regular SFIV, such as Seth. Jaron can give his thoughts on the characters he got to play such as Ibuki, Makoto, Chun Li, and Cody. I have a copy of the game now, just no modded Xbox. But if something goes wrong and you canāt get a new copy Brian, I have one for us to play with just in case.
Ibuki:
Kunai can easily be stopped by a normal. Her super jump comes out much faster than Viperās, this means to super jump cancel to Ultra requires stricter timing. Kunai has a lot of hitstun and blockstun. Good range on her normals. Even with her mixup in mind she seems mediocre at best, not much she has puts her over a bulk of the cast. So at least mid-tier
Makoto:
Makoto has an unnecessarily fast focus attack, with damn good range. Ultra 1 after command grab is somewhat strict on timing. Didnāt get to try much.
Cody:
This mutha fucka is high tier. Okay range on focus attack, qcf+RH is a superb anti air, comes out in no more than 4 frames, and can be FADCāed to ultra 1 (not sure of 2). Basic BnB (cr.Jabx2, cr.Strong xx qcb+Fierce) is not range dependent at all, if the cr.Strong hit, the tornado will. Ultra 1 can be used as an anit-air. Knife makes Codyās poke game unstoppable, Rocks are really annoying.
Claw:
So, who said this nigga was buffed? He is still ass-tier. cr.Jabs are slightly easier to link, you can now link cr.Strong after cr.Jab. RH probably comes out a frame or 2 faster. Still no sign of priority, slightly less recovery from a walldive, not enough to move this guy at all in tiers.
Adon:
In all honesty, heās almost the exact same as he was in Alpha 2. He has no df+Forward, so he literally has no reliable anti-air. st.Strong and cr.Strong are fast. Nowhere above mid-tier at his best.
Chun:
Nothing different. cr.Forward still has the same range as cr.Short. No noticeable changes.

LOL Armondo played with Dudley. Nobody played with Dan. Cody looked REAL good. After just learning his BnB combos, Jaron was already whipping ass with him. Also, one annoying thing we noticed was when selecting characters, you have to press a button 4 times. One to pick him, then the color, then the ultra, then the handicap, then your done.
I would also like to add that while Armondo was using Dudley, he cross-countered on my wake-up and I ultraād with Dee Jay and the cross-counter beat it. We were all like WTF.

I think Brentt was feeling Deejay too well to bother trying Duds. Me, since Iām scrambling for a main, I just looked at who sounded cool to me. I was mostly hoping for those Claw buffs, which arenāt there. Ibuki was the next char I looked at, obviously better than Claw, but not great compared to others. Sheāll be solid though, I predict very few negative matchups for her.
