i played some vanilla with a friend earlier today and it just felt way more solid. the way the characters move around and even combo feels way more put together. ultimate almost feels “unfinished.” try out vanilla for a few minutes (after playing ultimate) and you’ll see.

i’m still gonna play the shit out of ultimate and go to tournaments n junk like always, but vanilla is better imo.

Happy Thanksgiving, HD. Let’s start playing fighting games again, yeah?

SCR early bird registrations end Dec 4!

damien stop complaining your chars all got buffs. learn how to use this and youll see but until then shush please :).

akuma got buffed? shit. lets go win all the tournies with this new info guise!

zero is way better in vanilla?! shit lets keep going 0-2 in tournies!

more characters fall out of his combos in ultimate than in vanilla cuz all his hits have more knockback. the stun scaling changes made it so he cant do long combos, which decreases his damage output. his buster isnt a hard knockdown anymore so that whole mix-up game after a hit with the buster is gone.
also (and i could be wrong on this one) his buster feels like it takes longer to get a full charge. that wouldnt be much of a problem though if its true.

so yes. zero was better in vanilla.

they gave him the ability to cancel any special with buster, but thats not actually as useful as it sounds. its handy, though.

EDIT: his teleports are a bit slower too.

We got patented Marvel beef. This can only be resolved by a money match. Let’s do it.

bottom line (as implied above), i dont have a team that is in any way ready to play. even if it is just a 2 dollar tourney, im not gonna enter. not a big deal, guys.

lol. zero isnt better in this game.
nerfed teleport alone isnt worth cancelling buster from shit. i was using him and magneto at the end of vanilla and they both got worse though they seem still good. he got some cool new shit but id rather keep old zero. akuma sucks, even dorm was better in vanilla IMO. carpet staying down over all his buffs. id suggest just picking a whole new team. i pretty much had to.

ey but money match this shit out

Stick has still got me too depressed to practice, but I want to soon. You guys think buying a new joystick would fix it? And if so, how the eff do you open these Super SF4 sticks? lol

in time.

glad someone agrees with me finally, though.

should be under warranty. file that claim…

Purchased used from SRK.

check your breakaway cable and see if it’s on tight or try to use another breakaway cable

Tried putting on a new breakaway able and it still has the issue, but it’s noticeably less, uh noticeable, lol. Still will mess up, but it will work for longer periods of time. The dude I bought it from sent me this.
“that stick has no known issues at all when i had it in my possesion. however, I think i know, whats wrong with the stick, when I replaced the octogate with a squaregate, I did notice that the squaregate that I put in there, felt “tight” im sure that by changing that back to the octo or another square gate would fix that issue.”

Now I know my scrubbyness will be shown in full affect right now, but yeah, don’t know how to do any of that. lol

Edit: I take back what I said about the breakaway cable, still messing up a lot. Must’ve just had a lucky streak for a few minutes.

anyone get tekken tag hd? Everything I hear on this board now is marvel 3 this and marvel 3 that which is utter trash… I’m going to give ae2012 a honest shot but if it don’t sparkle in my eye I’m switching back to old school until capcom makes something that feels legit instead just making another scrub fest game.

you probably screwed with the cable for the joystick input. make sure that’s tight and make sure you don’t have any obstruction to the microswitches

I didn’t put it in, the guy who sold it to me did. So a new square gate wouldn’t fix the issue? It’s something in the wiring? I’d be completely lost trying to figure it out.
