you should start a victoria 2012 thread and REBOOT THE SCENE
i’m trying to recruit some ppl in Calgary to head up for this tournament in Feb. If I don’t I might just come myself.
Hey! We do indeed largely use Facebook to organize stuff in Victoria, although we do keep an eye on this thread and try to post important stuff here. We have tournaments at UVic frequently, although we just had a break for the holiday season.
I was going to start planning another UVic tournament for late January/early February, but then we found out that Gottacon was stepping it up this year and really putting effort into making a good fighting game event, so the Victoria crew will just be attending that instead. You can check out all the details of Gottacon if you’re interested at their website or at the SRK thread CrossXoveR just posted. The organizers at Gottacon have also graciously offered the Victoria fighting game community a group discount to get into the convention, so if you wanna be a part of that, let us know on the Facebook group, or PM me on here.
We also get together frequently for casuals in Victoria, and it’s always great to see new people come out.
