Actually yes, Vegas was a major A3 hotspot as well as GGXX. When GGXX first came out like half of the vegas players placed in the top 32 with ruin and peter getting in the top 10 at evo.

Yup! josh/peter/me were top in GGXX, I won like 9/10 GG tourneys i entered ;). Only ones I lost I think were TX (second) and evo (5th)

Josh was easilyyy a top player in that also.

And I don’t know shit about HDR, peter doesn’t play it much but IMO he’s really strong at it. :0

And all ruin had to do against Peter’s guile was get any any sort of life lead and start turtling with air fireballs for the rest of the match. I don’t know Guile is FAR better in this game when the only upgrade he got was a RH flashkick that goes forward farther and easier super motions, all his trouble match-ups are still the same.

Like what ruin/Trophy says, Vegas is pretty talented overall. I think we’ll end up decent in SF4 and the other new games if we stick with it. It’s just not there in OG Street Fighter, tho. Nobody seems to care enough about it.

Guile also gets overhead in HDR and he was already pretty good in regular ST. I’d say he’s top tier in HDR or close to it. The Sim/Sagat/Boxer matches are all better now IMO. Blanka/Vega/Ryu still not fun, but totally winable anyways - just like it was before. And Peter is pretty good in ST/HDR aka the original argument sucks. If he took it seriously, he could do good damage in a major.

I still have the interview of a young Daniel ruin realvelazquez in Texas, and a baby faced peter xenotiger suhpreme invading the scene. Also team outlaw, greats in their own rights did pretty well when evo first landed in vegas.

That’s true, but I had to train you to risk wakeups and throw tech attempts before just throwing it out there. I anticipated your Yoga Fire a couple times and managed to EX Flip Demon on you just as you were throwing them. Mix it up!

Honestly, I think you’d beast if you focused more on controlling space. You’re doing AAs a lot more, which is great. It’s getting harder for me to get in, learn to be more patient too. If you got a lead, bank on it. Don’t go for unsafe Yoga Fire>Tele Crossups. I can see those coming a mile away.
