Vega trials 17, 19, and 20 are stumping me. On 17 I can’t even get the c.mp after the s.hp unless I have Kaz against the wall…only thing is, in that case, Izuna can’t hit because Kaz ends up alot higher in the air than Vega >_>
you need it hit it midscreen, timing is a tight on that one coz the c.MP will whiff like 90% of the time -_-

Who else agrees that the chains make Vega’s pokes even more deadly? Vega is going to be sick as fuck on this game.
I’m neutral about them, that shit is unsafe as fuck… unless you’re gonna blow the meter if the chain wont hit (or if its an obvious punish then you wont need to) then theyre ass as they scale the combos heavily.

I’ll see what the deal is. I LOVE the idea of using cross-cancel as an anti air, looks like braindead divekicks are going to be a big liability now! Heavy Attacks like CosmicHeel can eat up a bunch of juggle potential, see if you can find juggles using medium attacks into special, I’ll test later at home.
Also, I’m going to be the #1 sucker for getting all the DLC Vega colors T_T

Oh ok. It’s funny how the only custom colors that stand out are to make your character black/gray. Since people who customize their character seem to be slightly better than those who havn’t sometimes (because the customizers probably have just spent more time with the game so far), in tag team battles my friend and I accidentally started sounding… racist? during the VS screen, haha

What is this cross cancel AA move? Is it HP + HK the launcher?
Also, yes chains make Vega extremely deadly. No you don’t chain your moves on block. You chain your moves either as a hit confirm or as a punish. Chain combos into launcher should deal at least over 300 damage (with my partner it deals over 350 damage from a cr mp). Main difference from Vega’s and other characters though is that Vega can do it from far away with 4 frame startup attack (cr mp).

You do it during your own block stun, which is a little risky because if you mistime it you’ll just be walking into punches. Costs 1 meter and works like a parry + an automatic attack.
So if you can only do it during your block stun, then how is it an AA? NVM I get it now. Although Vega’s cross cancel is slower than normal I believe iirc.
anyone else feel that there’s something different about this game’s negative edge? in sf4 i never had trouble with it with vega, but now even a simple cr.mp x l.st sometimes comes out as cr.mp x lm.rcf. i don’t know if it’s just me or is it really like this?
Actually you’re not the only one…I’ve been catching myself pressing mk twice after my directional inputs to make sure it comes out…usually after the first press it doesn’t come out. Different timings that we have to get used to I guess. But yeah…I’ve been having lots of annoying drops because of what you’ve just mentioned.
Shout outs to Vega never having a decent anit air ever again in any fighting game ever. Is it really so much to ask for S. RH back? Just standing RH, I’ll take S. RH.
