Hello everybody
I have a question, about a “glich” or something:
If i take someone to the corner, I usually use barcelona while he is still in the ground, so i can “crossup” his wakeup with a barcelona over his head and izuma drom him (since i don’t need to steer, i izuma drop 90% of the time.
I do this because usually their shoryuken don’t hit me because i’m just avobe them, i don’t aim to be just on him when he wakeup, i aim to be on top of my barcelona jump when they wakeup, and change side right to left to right when just on the top, so if they manage to input the shoryuken before a side change usually the shoryuken will go to one side and usually i’m safe avobe them until the izuma drop.
(vs a lot of characters, others they can hit you anyway like zangief, blanka, honda, bison if he ex stomp, and sometimes ryu manages to pull a lp shoryuken to the right side, any other shoryuken fails).
**The FUN fact is **that somehow sometimes they rise and i can see the animation of “change side” over and over again, it is weird, as if he don’t have a side to look because i’m just avobe them, and if this happen they do nothing until i izuma drop them,
and then taunt,
to repeat the barcelona thing.
I suppose that because they don’t have a side, they can’t input a shoryuken to a side, because forward is not forward, because he is switching sides every 3 frames (or so).
Is this already known?
Is it abusable?
It happens almost once or twice every night
(Apologies in advance for the change of topic, did not want to start a new thread, hardly worth it)…
Been reading SRK for a while now, just never had the cohones to post, I main Vega, I still suck, in fact I got owned by a Ryu nublet that just kept walking up and F+MP (the double attack) and kept feeding me this nonsense for three rounds. I used to main Blanka and Fei, but had enough of those two, is it legit to ‘reach’ for another main until my Vega is up to scratch so that I have a fall back toon? Have you guys done this? If so with whom? Who did you ‘reach’ for?
Believe me I practice but nublets bring out the worst in me I just fall into patterns really easily.
This is pretty interesting, as this has happened to me before. Although the SFIV input system is pretty lenient, it seems to work to somehow cross up the opponent, then “grab” him from behind. I’ve seen it happen, and it happened to me quite a couple of times, too.
I never switched to anyone because noobness beat me. If I didn’t know the answer to certain patterns I’d go to training mode, record him doing the move and then looking for ways out.
On a sidenote I noticed a lot of people here get jumped at for free because they think they can’t do anything about it. That’s the reason a lot of people fall victims to scrubs and their frame advantage loops. Panicking and forgetting you have ways to keep him out. Things like noobs doing jumpin hk, throw, jumping hk throw, jumping hk srk. You must not let your opponent in, or he can really start his mixup game. If you see him jump, focus backdash or something but don’t just stand there and get jumped at every time. Sometimes you HAVE to block and make educated guesses, just as Bebop said once, but it doesn’t mean you ALWAYS have to.
i dont get how to control stuff like ex wall dive. people say UB for the wall behind you, and UF for the one infront, but in training mode i go from DB straight to UF and i still go on the wall behind me.
When you move to the UF position hold UF as you hit your desired button(s). Holding the last direction will help you consistently go to the intended wall.
The search function brings me to a blank page, and I’m sure this has been asked before.
Against Sagat’s jump elbow, I’m trying to air throw it and get hit out of it. I know it’s more of it being online, but is there anything he can do about it otherwise? Tried neutral jump roundhouse, st.roundhouse, and jump forward/back strong in addition to the jump air throw. Dashing under or focus back dash only stalls and they just keep doing it.
Good shit. Hmm, I guess if there’s no hope taking him out of the air, Vega should probably use your focus tap/dash under then try to early st.roundhouse to keep him grounded? Uppercut is always there, it really hurts if Vega has absorbed something, too. From my limited knowledge on this character, is the best thing to just evade until you get a read on them and react accordingly?
One more, does anyone remember how to kara EX wall dive? I saw it in this Japanese video once and can’t find the link to the demonstration anymore. He had some other cool tricks but that one was the most useful. Supposedly it hits a lot of standing characters full screen.
OMFG yes you can oh my good so many new combo are now availabe hopefully. yes. no lie here are the inputs player 2 side
:df:
:l::hk:
:l::mk::lk:
what you do is as you press down on rh you press on the kkk buton to register the mk and lk, but you have to do almost immediatly so as soon as you finish pressing hk you are just finishing mk and lk.
Well, you can’t cancel the cr. mp normal with another normal…so trying to kara EX wall dive after cr. mp shouldn’t be possible. Someone should try to find a Nagoya Street Battle match if there is one including Vega. Then you (or me) can copy and paste the characters to search on nico with.
edit: Or someone can tell me if it’s in hiragana or katakana, if it’s in kanji then there’s no hope for me lewlpewl.
sorry yeah i did extensive into and all you need is to simply hold foward for a moment and you will get an extra 3 spaces so dont know if its kara cancel
