You guys need to stop using GP as a gauge of skill.
just wondering has anyone here entered and won any tournaments using only vega?
I won 2 online ones.
The only REAL tournament I entered was the one held by Justin Wong, I didn’t get very far in it… But that was a WHILE ago, like 2 weeks after the game came out.
I won one tournament with Vega about a month back and before that I won the Gamestop Round 1 and Round 2 tourneys in my bracket. Then at another tourney a little less than a month ago I took fourth place (I just had to switch to Fuerte, lol). It is possible to win with Vega (obviously) but it takes so much more work than with some other characters.
It’s a lot easier to win with Vega than it is with Twelve. I’ll say that much =P
That pretty much sums it up. I’ve entered one tourny, and won it with Vega. This was a local tourny though, set up in a friend of a friend’s garage (he built a cabinet out of a flatscreen/360/TE sticks), and there were only about 30 people there total. There are NO arcades around here anymore, and it was mostly advertised in surrounding schools/colleges. It was all console players pretty much, though they all used sticks.
People were surprised (and laughed at me) when I picked Vega, then they stopped laughing as I moved up the brackets.
I honestly think I won because people just didn’t know how to fight Vega, nobody took him seriously until I got to the final. Aside from me, it was just a slew of top tier characters. It was all Sagat/Ryu/Rufus/Boxer/Gief, a couple Blankas, a decent Bison, and a flowchart Ken who only joined to flowchart it up while drunk ( he won his first match ).
Wish I had an Ultra that I could use, it’d make things slightly easier 
ahh so good to hear positive things about vega! what is a good gameplan going into a tournament thick with ryus rogs and blankas? hope that they underestimate you?
Just don’t get cocky.
I’d say take the 1st round to see how they play in general, and then adapt to it.
Do they wake-up shoryu often or not?
Do they rush down or turtle?

are there any serious competition Vega’s out there now. I heard that x knucklez x is maining fei long now, and as for Bebop well he is long gone. Just want to know.

im planing to going to arcade infinity in rolling heights in CA. But i also heard that the arcade scene is dying out. Im still going though and see if I can rock Vega like he is suppose to.

hey rizhall u do alot of arcade play over ther in NYC? about what percentage of people do you see using vega? and are they any good?
Not yet. At first, I felt I wasn’t good enough for the competition yet.
But now I think I’m ready, but now I need a job first.
I played in 2 tourneys though.
One at the arcade, tehre was no Vega at all, besides me.
The other was at a store, held by Justin Wong. Anotehr vega was there, St GutFree, who actually used to come here.
Tweleve of SRK also goes to CTF though. He USED to use Vega, but he switched. =\
Imagine if Tatsu won the whole damn thing with Claw lol. Shove it, tier list!

For the df HK to scarlet terror link, do you guys hit it more successfully offline or online with lag? And is the timing character specific?–In training I seem to hit it more against some characters than others (connects more vs Dan, less vs Ryu). And i assume that the HK ST is the best one as you get a sHK if you don’t hit it.
