Vega J.HP HP to HCF. timing

You have to start charging back the moment you jump forward.
Seriously, cs.hp-mprcf is my bnb combo. Its extremely easy, very decent damage without meter, pushes the opponent far and safe on block except against chun and gief.

Just do bison’s cst.hp-PC/SK first, you’ll get the hang of it. And cst.mk-mproll will become even more legit in ultra with cst.mk’s buff.
Note:cst.mp-mproll also combos on some of the cast if canceled in the first available frame. Or works as a frame trap on chars that it doesnt combo on.

Mastering this cancel is essential for any Vega player. And it opens up the way for the biggest damaging combo with cst.hp-ex.roll.

After a time you do it automatically, without any effort. Cause your hands gets used to charging down back the moment you jump.

On trials you can neutral jump. You can go from neutral to back faster than forward to back, gives a few more extra frames of charge.

I didn’t know “negative edge” could be used for anything except Cody’s Zonk Knuckle so that’s useful information.

Can someone explain to me what a frame trap is?

From http://www.option-select.com/strategy/article/?a=12

Frame Trap: A sequence of attacks designed to make the opponent think they have a good opportunity to attack, when they are actually in a poor position to attack. Almost always refers to Counterhit Setups.

The JoK3R J:

Thanks for the advice! I was pulling out the l.rcf wayy too late. Now I can pull off #15 on a regular basis from the timing you described.

Gross_Indecency:

I’m definitely going to go through those combos you suggested before I take my claw online. I want to make sure I’m ready to compete with other newbs when Ultra comes out.

Thank again for all the help! I just got through all the trials!

Well it sounds like this combo will be super-easy now in Ultra anyways.
