[VCU] Valiant Cinematic Universe

It’s a web series not a movie

It is also something akin to a “fan effort” project and it will probably not be connected at all with the upcoming movies (HARBINGER and BLOODSHOT), but being a different version of the future VCU.

There’s also a Quantum & Woody network TV series in development by the Russo Brothers (directors of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War). It’s an awesome comic so I’m excited, but those characters don’t appear in the NINJAK webseries, BTW.

everything of valiant is fan projects, including the comics :coffee:

Just in case you were wondering… full trailer was never released, producing company said “it wasn’t the right time and conditions” to do so. Yeah, what a bummer.

His name is pronounced Nin-jak? Really? I recently read his comic and they have Ninja-A/B/C/D/E etc. IIRC Ninja-G was a black chick.

So vaporware.

Just watched the webseries.

Aaaand… it’s pretty good ;D

It’s 6 episodes that sum a little longer than 1 hour, a very straightforward story/premise (don’t expect “deep” themes or a complex plot), but enjoyable nonetheless.

The production quality is somewhere in the middle of a fanfilm and some decent TV show/ TV movie. Nice action and fight coreographies. Visual effects are completely alright for what the series is.

Acting? Well… around acceptable, with a couple cases almost unbearable, but that’s no problem considering what the series.

If you really like superheroes, give it a watch, it’s an entertaining ride no doubt. And also it accomplishes its goal of being some good Valiant advertisement, you’ll probably be interested on knowing more of these characters.

Here’s the whole series:

Dylan O’Brien bein eyed to star in Harbinger.

Bloodshot…

Valiant Comics Digital Comic Book Collection. All of their comic books from 2012-2018, for $60 dollars.

I’ve spent the last year reading everything they’ve published so far and I can tell you they’re the most compelling comic book universe I’ve ever read.

Domestic

International

By the way, this idea of a ‘connected universe’ has been cancelled, there will be only standalone movies and Harbinger won’t be produced by Sony, what a bummer.

Thats probably a good thing, I doubt they would have pulled off a shared universe.

They should def do standalones for awhile to guage interest until they got a real vision of what is possible with the licenses.

Best approach is to take their time, essentially the opposite of what DC did

lol. Cant argue that, I know almost nothing of Valiant except for Man-O-War, and I only know of him cuz I used to play Iron Man/Man O War on PSone alot

I actually read Valiant comics and while I would have liked to see a shared onscreen universe, it’s not essential at all. In particular I hope the Harbinger movie/series does well now that X-Men onscreen will be out of commission for a while.
