It was all outta love. Brent thought it would be cool to throw a vanilla ST tournament, because we like vanilla ST. My car was messed and I couldn’t make it, though.
I don’t see you trying to make HDR tournaments. Hit up julien beasley or something. And then when your tournament is a fail, I’ll gloat in your face and be like ha ha i’m so glad nobody came to your stupid fucking tournament. Way to be a retard, man.

Like ST, no one who played to win showed up. So it was a really fun event as everyone rocked low tier until the top 3. I busted tyrant -> rocket launcher in casuals, but failed to do so in tournament against Matt (VagrantLest). Brian Roll’ed someone, I think it was Eric (not Hyre but a Smash player). Brian and Pablo both exhibited excellence of execution by pulling Geif level 3 in matches. Brian and I made it to round 4 due to a nasty draw game. XTG upsets team hardbody by keeping Pablo out with Juggs and Doom rocks, while making a huge comeback with j. short guardbreak into headcrush. PaulLee’s Tron was starting to show signs of life in the loser’s bracket before he and Bokkin had to take off. Pablo Raging Demoned someone. Brent was trying to fit in by picking Geif, but did not land a level 3, and lost the respect of ass grabbers everywhere.
This game is hella fun to watch when everyone’s playing Spidey, Gambit, Jill, and the like. I think there were 14 entrants. Where the fuck were you, Evan? I thought you were going to make it out. We could have used the sticks for a second setup. Also, that way we wouldn’t have had to stop Marvel casuals for when the ST tournament started.
For the record, all the winnings from the ST tournament went towards Game Juice. To juice up our game.
more memorable Marvel moments:
Brian thrice attempted to Otokomichi someone, but his Dan died each round.
One of the smash players was getting beat up (I think it was by Riki) and someone yelled “just keep hitting buttons”, and he mashed to a comeback victory. Can’t stop attacking in Marvel.
Marvel is ridiculous. It was a lot of fun seeing new players just give it a shot. Reminded me why I started playing this game. Seriously, even non-competitive play is HELLA fun. It was a good time. We should do another free tourney like this somewhere down the line.
I wish we woulda done it last time at Zach’s @.@.
