Natalia’s damage output has been nerfed in the current version though, and even if she does do decent damage off short combos, it was still more satisfying to do those juggles.
Natalia’s juggling actually hasn’t been changed at all. It’s the system that’s been changed to prevent low-hitting launch moves from juggling, and that means that Natalia only really can follow up her low pilebunker > assist into a straight or overhead pilecharge, not another low one.
And anti-hype? I still try to show this game off to people and stuff. The last thing I want to do is anti-hype it. Just because I think the current version is not as fun as it used to be, doesn’t mean I think the game sucks and should die!

No. I know you’re used to people bowing down before you and stuff, but I’ve got shit I want to say and I’ll say it. I have just as much right as anyone else. This game is still great on so many levels, but personally I miss some things that were changed. Not saying that it wasn’t right for the developer to change them, just that I miss being able to do certain things.

So, is the reason everybody’s shook about netplay because the creator keeps churning out patches that fundamentally change certain characters?
:edit: I misread KMD’s post earlier. Anyway, probably the major deal is that lunaport isn’t maintained by Sugeno himself, so whenever sugeno releases a new patch, the guys working on lunaport need to update it too. That, and it’s still imperfect.

Just FYI, Chibi and I are not the only ones who would really like him to stop talking (others have voiced this opinion on IRC).
And I don’t think that’s the reason. If anything it gives people an excuse to play again, since weeks or months will go by with no one playing or talking, then when a new patch hits suddenly a bunch of people want to try it out again.
For what it’s worth, I’ve also seen some other games not getting any patches where the scene is basically dead, then somebody sees a video of it or something and starts hyping it, then everyone plays for a week or two, and finally it goes back to quiet. So in those cases it’s just the game/players since there aren’t any patches messing with the game.
