Well I’m going to go edit the wiki combos to comply with the new version and stuff. For Kurumi at least if it hasn’t already been done.

So how does E / reflect work? I tried using it like MB shield but ate all of Ayane’s arrows instead.

It only parries physical attacks. If you want to block projectiles like Ayane’s arrows, you have to use a proxy shield (assist parry)

If you parry an attack with E, you get 20% special for it and another 10% if you follow up with an attack. So it’s great for building meter if you’re good with defense.

My first matches with two friends of Vanguard Princess… really n00b/scrubby to be honest but well, the thing is… that they love the game!

On this July 27 on my country there will be a really big fighting game event and i will make the probably very first Vanguard Princess tourney on South America… of course i will record the best stuff.

i dunno, luna still feels incomplete* to me. the lack of a throw REALLY bugs me lol. the robot loli assist seems to be a necessity for the shield since a lot of other characters’ moves (like pilebunkers…ugh) seem to plow through her normals and stance transition moves.

shes still the most fun though, incomplete or not.

*someone like kaede feels more like a complete character. i pick her when im tired of having to rely on robo loli shield to survive in melee range

edit: comedy answer, kurumi is more complete than luna

Luna is pretty complete, just very different. forward C in a stance is her throw. She actually can do good damage, but she seems to build stun slowly. A decent jump in is j.C then follow with a 236B, but it has to be a speed shot or it won’t connect in a combo because she takes too far of a step back. If it combos can complete her stances into a super.

Also you can whore meter with mech loli (if you ise her shield) if you just keep changing stances without attacking and if they jump at you, you can get them for free with a super with 236B. If you get used to the stances, you get a feel for what you can do and if your super will hit.

I had the same problem with my TE. You probably need to change the stick to LS (left-stick) mode.

Yeah I think I’m going to main Natalia. I find I’m playing her the most lately. She’s not the best character but it sure is fun to chip people to death with pilecharges. Juliet and Sheira assists seem to work the best for her.

yeah i do the loli shield and stance thing, its great. robo lolis are awesome in general imo.

By the way. the Japanese wiki says that Natalia’s command grab was made faster :> it’s still not instant by the looks of things but seems to be about 3 frames. Still very fast.

She’ll chances are never get a “Standered” throw as her gimmick is those stances. Just learn to make the best use of it, and for a throw, it’s quite good IMO, it’s just a little…slow…is all, but it’s got nice reach and knocks someone down right in front of you.

…Then again Luna’s ability to make good use of that isn’t the best…

People are probably already aware of this, but you can perform support moves during the motion of a special move. e.g. you can perform 6, 2D, 3B to have 2D and 623B come out almost simultaneously.

Only just discovered this a minute ago so haven’t really dabbled enough to find an actual use for it as yet, but I’m sure there are plenty.

Yeah that’s pretty common knowledge. You can call assists any time your assist is not crossed out or outlined in green. You can also hold the assist button to have the assist repeatedly perform actions one after the other.

This game is awesome. Can’t wait to play against others :slight_smile:
