These made me smile. :wgrin:
I TOLD YOU ABOUT SHIERA SQUIRREL, I TOLD YOU!
Best assist for Lilith by far just because of that freaking shield.

Well, not JUST cause of that, it also gives her range and ways to get in =P
LOL
Don’t ever let lilith cross you up with shiera assist. ever.
I still prefer Kane’s long range unblockables though.
Serious, that’s what she needs more than anything. Her ability to get in close is next to none. Also, B pokes shut a lot of her shit down.
Good news: LunaPort works!
Bad news: it’s not exactly stable. Normally if you get a good connection with somebody, you play until the shit desyncs, then start over again. There doesn’t appear to be any kind of delay compensation, so if there’s any kind of instability in the connection, it all goes to hell. I’m not sure how to go about putting that in as a bug report or whatever, but…yeah. GGs to kaori and ckx2 in #vp.
Well that’s a good start, I guess. One can only wonder if that anon is going to keep up with it or not.
But hey, if this works on other FM games, we’d finally get some online SCWU games down.
anyone know what compiler is being used. Kinda need to recompile in order to make it work with mine (i changed the .exe and .kgd and run it with applocale)
he said it should, in principle, work on any game that has the exact same executable file, so there’s a good chance.
Another neat feature of LunaPort is that it can save replays. Here’s a replay of me a) failing to do a combo for several dumb reasons then b) getting it. It records EVERYTHING, so if you want to save individual matches as replays, you’ll have to back out of the game and start over again. But it’s better than nothing.
EDIT: oh, Twiniss’s post also reminded me. Lunaport looks for game.exe. Why? Hell if I know. Now, those of us running it with applocale have the name of the exe changed anyway, so that’s no big deal, right? Just change the exe to game.exe and the kgt to game.kgt, and it finds it fine. However, in order to get it to launch the game correctly, you’re going to need to run lunaport with applocale.
Spectator mode doesn’t work.
but if you can prove me wrong that would be great.
Still, first working build is GET.
Heh, I’m central BTW with magical internet ( DSL that can get as low as 100 ping with Japan…I DON’T KNOW BUT I DO SO THERE ) so if anyone wants matches I’m more then willing to go.
anyone know a website to teach the basics of this game?
i don’t really know where to start -.-
currently, i’m just spamming Luna’s qcf+C move, which conveniently combos into super…
cheers!
This game is really new, so there aren’t really resources for it outside of the wiki (linked on an early page, something on mizuumi.) Check there for combos and stuff, but outside of that, just feel out what seems good to you, and use it, until we all get a better feel for the game.
You’re starting straight away as Luna?
Good luck! You might have a better chance learning one of the more basic characters then moving to Luna once you’ve got a hang of the systems…
I don’t know if learning other characters can help with Luna’s stances, lack of dashes and easy throws.
And that using 6\4 assists, or a throw while Luna is in a stance, will change her stance unless you’re careful.
The following characters are easy to pick up and use for beginners:
Yui, Saki, Eri, Natalia and possibly Haruka.
All these characters have pretty straightforward play styles and specials. Haruka seems fairly easy to play as far as keep away characters go but I’m not so sure about that.
Haruka is “easy to play” since you don’t have to worry about fancy things like “combos”.
I wouldn’t call her easy to play well and win with though.
I had some good games with Zero 3K on Lunaport. Game is still damn fun. I have not had time to post on this board lately.
Haruka’s 5C is actually quite good for combos thanks to the way it keeps the opponent in hitstun for quite a while.
Sorry the late, i updated the first post.
Lunaport is odd.
Against Kaori (111ms) and SilentShinobi (73ms) it was a lost laggy cause.
Against Sp00ky (20ms) it was pretty damn good…until a lag spike.
Then the spike would STAY in the game (no lag correction) and we’d have to restart.
Against sumazndude (23ms) it desynched like mad, I honestly don’t know if I won more than I lost because of the desynchs.
Against Zero 3k (50ms) it was the most stable out of everyone I played that I was able to actually start doing restuns, though not the hard ones.
A mystery.
