Yeah I still play. Not as often anymore.
I just go with whatever GGPO has as it’s default.

Both actually. I guess I just need to work on my timing.
Fair enough. Although I don’t tend to dash lp when I’m playing as Jedah. I think that JMP works better for poking purposes. For combos, I tend to use Dash HK and then land and combo. Want a cool mix up? Dash Hk and move to combo a few times to condition your opponent, then mix it up with DHK then DHK again. If your opponent is crouching, you can do this to cross them up as well.
If you wanna pratice against someone, I’m on GGPO most days. Sinch me up with a challenge. My SN is Korey
Jedah kinda reminds me of I-no from GG with dash mixups. I’m working on mixing up air dash/low pokes/command grab.
I’m still waiting for my converter to come in so I can’t really VS with teh controller I have now. I can do basic combos but I’m repeatedly messing up on dashing.
yup yup, the cab’s always on turbo tres baby
Wut? You use his command throw? You poor kid. Change that up with Ground ES wheel. Use QCB+ P to shoot down any deep jump ins (careful on the timing). Just DONT get defensive/ runaway-y with him. Worst mistake ever against a good player. Unless you’re really godlike with techs and GC’s
What’s wrong with his command throw? I’m not using the slowest one the ground or his aerial command throw. I learning how to use the wheels.
I do plan to RTSD with Jedah.
everybody that posts in this thread plays on ggpo right???
savior is awful on 2DF, much laggier, and you have to select turbo and put coins all the time or change dipswitches, still i dont see half the players posting here playing on GGPO which is odd
Nobody is ever on when I’m on GGPO. Maybe if we set up times where we all try to meet, we could play.
Most of the “good players” dont even play anymore. That coupled in with the fact that i play against the japanese offline when i go to japan kinda makes me not want to bother playing this online. People to look out for though…
Myself aka Ayaimmortal
Magnetomaniac
B-izm
Skankin garbage
Most japanese players… They have their share of scrubs too. People can add whoever they want to that list but those are the people you should probably be looking for if you want to improve in this game
What the hell are you talking about? Jedah is great at runaway. Also I use his command grab as well. It doesnt hurt to use it everyonce in a while. Though i would love for someone to tell me that a defensive jedah is bad vs good players lol.
I’ve been jumping on ggpo for the past few days leveling up my game again, it’s been a while.
Yo, teach me some things in VS and i’ll teach you some things in ST. Please?:wgrin:
What I was trying to say… “if you’re not good with jedah, don’t runaway…since you don’t know his defensive options.” lots of people ONLY run with him and I think that Jedah can be played both ways, as SHU has demonstrated before. I’m not saying I don’t run with Jedah, but there is a way to rush with Jedah as well. I’m not saying don’t play with D with Jedah, but make sure you know wtf you’re doing…because most new Jedah’s DON’T know wtf they’re doing.
I’m down anytime if you guys wanna give me a shout on MSN, AIM or PM on here. Just lemme know eh?
i just got a new router/computer… still wireless, but better connection I think. I’ll try and slave my way through all that port forwarding nonsense -_-
When you say that do you mean they do’t go online anymore? Or did they just leave it alone.
I’m sure if you asked any one of these guys if you saw them online that they would be more than willing to play you. Skankin’s always looking for a game when he’s in the VS room.
Other people that are noteworthy to lookout for are…
fLoE
Fuzzy_Snugs
Siky
Myself (Korey)
NFinity
NickNackFiend
I’m not that good, but I’ll get in a match or 60 every now and then
Something that i’ve come across for all those Zabel players out there
If you do an air dash, and then hold Down-back, or back, zabel will stop the airdash and begin descending quicker than if you would just let the airdash continue.
The reason this is interesting is because i’ve found that when applyed to doing an IAD, you’ll almost always be able to combo after w/e attack you press while IAD. When you force zabel to descend from the airdash early you can still attack. Because of the Descending attack, Zabel will always do the move low to the floor even if you did the IAD higher than you would normally want. It also insures a descending flow to the attack(which is actually what lets you combo immediately as you hit the floor.
the method I’m experimenting with at this poing is, up/foward, hcf back. Now one thing that i’ve noticed is that you can get a hurricane kick if you cancel the dash with a kick BEFORE zabel begins to descend. Zabel can IAD xx hurricane if you want him to, but what i want is IAD, forcabely stop him by pressing either down/back or back, then press a button.
Doing the motion too quick will cause a hurricane kick to come out if you press a kick, With a punch it doesn’t matter. Meaning you can always get low IAD hp which is the best combo starter in the IAD options, but not the fastest. What would be best is a IAD lk since it becomes unblockable on it’s last frames, and can still be comboed on the floor.
I’m still experimenting on all this, but the basic reason why this might be important is that because once mastered, it will insure that your IAD attacks will always be comboable.
:uf:, :hcb:, the descend occurs, :hp:(i cut the HCB to only down/back so that i get :db:+:hp:) or :lk:(unblockable, and i hold the :l:+:lk: so that i don’t get a dive kick instead.)
Only person worth noting on that list is floe. Everyone else is uh… meh? Siky was pretty decent last I played. But that was months ago, before i went back to japan
Yeah, fLoE is good, but everyone else you can check out if they just happend to be there.
But since B-IzM is the only good one that gets on anymore, to I guess that someone is better than no one. X.x
:edit: ihira says to stop posting btw. =)
