Vampire Savior: advanced link combos & important notes

I can’t find any videos of floe using Jedah, and I’ve never seen him in the room :frowning:

Too bad most of you didn’t get to watch my mirror with B-IzM yesterday, really good set.

From my personal standpoint, it was people who I’ve personally played and I thought were the best at their certain characters. Active or not doesn’t matter. I’m sure that if the same people I mentioned began playing VS again, they’d still be the top players for their perspective characters. No offense to the newer bunch, because they’ve all leveled up nicely. Dyne, Tweleve, Tiggy, etc etc etc all are good up and comers, but I think the OGs can still beat them down.

But my post has done what I intended it to do, generate talk. So…misshun comprete!

In all honesty, I haven’t been playing this for quite some time. I just got a new laptop so I’ll try and pop in a little more. Only people I’ll be beating are those who have never played the game before

Nah Tiggy you improve every random time I get to play ya =D. You all still have problems with autopilot Rikuo though xDDDDDDDDD. Plus Korey if you mention about how the OG’s can beat the Up and Comers, how is that inspiring to get more upandcomers? Why does it matter if they can beat them, or why does it matter you spouting some common sense? lol. It’s different playing and doing well vs one of those people if you’re new, and learning, but my point is that there’s a better chance of Obama turning pasty white tomorrow than getting that opportunity. You remember why most people quit this game? Having that kind of attitude isn’t promotional for a dying game. Go do that shit in the SF4 threads

Also, if you have to say No Offense in a post, it’s offensive lol.

People don’t play VS for some of the same reasons they don’t play GG. Learning curve to become relatively decent in competitive sense is slightly high. And in VS they can’t mash out some of the better/cooler moves because they don’t always have the standard inputs. It’ll be plenty of newcomers in this game if Capcom even teases with mention of a new one. But for now everybody has a favorite character that they don’t know how to play with lol.

I think DJRedrum used a classic tactic in order to spark convo/discussion, revive interest in the game, which will hopefully inspire the “up and comers” to strive to beast the “OGs”. Nothing wrong with that if it’s constructive.

And I don’t know if I’m outta place in saying this, because I’m a scrub, but this game doesn’t need sugarcoated promotion. I think it’s nice for people to know off top that they should be playing SF4 rather than technical or demanding games if they don’t want to learn, adapt, and level up.

Mike you haven’t been in the room much have you? A lot of the ST guys and a few Alpha guys said certain members of the VS community talk down to them and some of them quit because of it or are afraid to speak out because of it. I know it’s not right to sugarcoat, but I don’t think being an ass and throwing around shit like “Oh ur gonna lose anyway noob” is promoting a dying game properly. I see your points but I also know what I’ve seen and heard in the room from experience, and Korey knows this as well because he’s had members get butthurt from his shit too. There’s the “grow up and deal with it” argument and the “why are you being a dick anyway?” argument.

Plus it wasn’t about mentioning the OG’s that got me offguard, it was mentioning the unplayable OG’s, lol. So how can they strive to beat something they won’t play? Lol I guess you didn’t see me say that in my posts.

In the end it doesn’t matter.

Ohhhhhh. I feel you. I wasn’t taking into account how many of the vets you guys say are m.i.a. nowadays.

I only been in the room ONCE. That’s why I’m just going to shut the fuck up now lol.

lmfao! No no no, I just don’t want people to get the wrong idea about anyone here is all. You can say whatever you like

Gotcha. It’s all good. Hopefully I’ll catch ya for a set sometime.

all this talk made me go in and play games today
i think i made chrisDOM cry tho :frowning:

RushedDown will you be online friday? I haven’t played you yet :frowning:

ima be, ima be, ima be the bee

lol Rushed, as soon as you guys finished that set… in chat he was like “Demitri is the most bullshit character!” or something like along those lines.

I’m guessing he didnt jump out of many blisses?

Don’t know if these have been posted, but the jp player Hampster made some interesting videos.

If they’d help out the US scene, Hampster was saying he would be willing to translate these two into English.

His channel also has a 3 part qb tutorial, but that one most likely won’t be translated. Those videos are mostly visual anyway.

^^^ Good shit iGive!

I know, I’m such an asshole…using Vic’s K Grab over and over .

I dunno about other people, but I’m always willing to play or help newer players. Heck, I even got a few of those ST/ A2/ 3S (shoutouts to Tweleve) to vest time in the game. In my experience, the VS crowd is a more intimate one than…the 9898989898 crowd . We all know each other and we are used to certain people. But Mike hit it on the head. VS scares people as a game when they see the complexity of it and play people who have time put in the game already. With the repeated failure of losing, some players go back to thier comfort zone. Only a few will stick with it and improve.

On the subject of up and comers versus OGs, I was stating my personal opinion. I’ve seen much more growth out of people who have played for less time than I did at that point. Never gonna shit on new players. But, I was saying “This is who is good. What do you wanna do about it?” I had to play these people to get decent. I would draw a comparison to me playing Valle inA3 back in his heyday. Am I going to win? Probably not. But why not try right? People who get better are those who fail over and over and learn from it.

I hope no one misinterprets what I’m trying to do. I’m not trying to get on my high horse and go on a noob killing crusade. I welcome new players all the time and I love having new faces. This was my little VS history lesson/ motivation. In three years, I might change the list. Who knows?

i think he mashed and hit me out of one of them
other than that he spent alot of time in the land of bliss

im so bad at this shit now to
but i was able to just do whatever i wanted against him and it worked

i should really start playing this game again
but coming into the channel and not seeing 50+ people makes me sad

I dunno, I think it great there’s not 50+ people in the channel; then the ping increases and I tend to lag like mad or can’t even connect to a match. (cough KOF02 room cough)

omg…HOW DARE YOU CALL THAT MAN A MASHER :amazed:

Hook me up with some of those hot mirror matches tho pappi

Oh and Korey, you have no high horse to get onto…you weren’t even on your own list! OOOH! Yah I went there, ggs. Lmao.

Do people actually play this game on GGPO or just post here?
