I was under the impression that Vampire Chronicle was like HSF2 aka like the PSP port so I didn’t bother with it. Thanks for that!
I bought the PSP port and regretted it.
Only because the PSP’s pad succccksss.
Anyways, happy new years you filthy animals
Don’t waste your money on VampChronic if you have a PS2 just get Vampire Collection. You can set the dip switches to be arcade perfect by using the second choice, and the training mode has everything but record.
Where has everyone gone?
Didn’t u hear man? That new game called SF4 is the greatest thing ever and pretty much obliterates the need to play any other game. Lke, ever. So everyone went to play that.
and if you dont have a jaapanese ps2 your sol huh? This sucks
You could use emulators, that’s what I did. There’s no training mode, but you can fix the options so you can have infinite health and time by using the configure menu.
yeah i know theres mame but i wish i had a disc copy of the game. i wish they would atleast bring it to psn then. they bring every other crappy game there
U don’t need a NTSC-J PS2. Its something called a boot disc or modding it for imports.
And don’t let anyone stop u from getting Vampire Chronicles; besides the removal of few dash link combos (Smart decision to keep the game balance between the Hunter and Vampire modes which don’t feature pushblock) it is identical to VS in Saviour mode; and if u need to learn those dash links than emulator is ur friend. Price isn’t a factor either as the Japanese Amazon had many selling their copies for low prices and highest I’ve seen is $50.00 @ Play-Asia. That said, its a very open-ended, deep and carefully made version of Darkstalkers and we already have few people legitimately playing Vampire as it is; no need to divide people over trivial crap like “not arcade perfect”. I’m glad its not; VS ommitted Pyron, Donovan, Phobos due to BS Memory issues (nevermind the fact Alpha 3 on the CPS2 board had a huge amount of characters). I see nothing but improvement in this version.
yeah i know i just keep forgeting to order one. I seen some of your vids also. you guys play a wide variety of fighters. my friends suck and only like to play fps games
I have the same problem. That’s why I was glad SF4 kept it simple, it allowed people to enter easily, one of the few times the CPU wasn’t my opponent.
Any Lilith players have tips for dealing with runaway Jedahs? It’s not really bad once I’m close, but then it just ends up with the other guy teching a knockdown, backdashing, filling the screen with shit and me pulling my hair cause I can’t get near for shit and get hit by a bunch of random crap on screen.
Well if you’re playing VC, pick her in Vampire mode, she has a air dash and fullscreen fireball…
For VS I have no idea other than play smart with AAing him and advanced guarding his pressure to re-set the situation. Air fireballs at a certain distance helps.
You may want to watch Kaji’s sets with Shimatsuya. This may help, they play like 7 games in a row.

more vids on his page of Lilith vs. Jedah.
And like Tech Romancer said, Anti-Air is your friend. Get really good at TK’ing soul flash and srk’ing jedah’s rush attempts; even if he tries to back dash away you can DP him. If he tech rolls backwards use a dash normal. If he rolls backwards you can dash back and do a normal of your choice to maintain pressure…Im not too great with lilith but even though she seems limited she does have tools to be scary and stop bullshit tactics, just watch a lot of Kaji or K matches to get an idea.
I have been playing that super awesome game sf4 a lot. Its pretty badass to spin the stick and mash spd like a pro. I will be back tomorrow for sure though.
finally im back.
Sorry for the noob question, but I’m having a really hard time executing tenraiha in combos (I’m using an arcade stick). Any help?
Try starting out with a LK, HK chain, then do MP, MP up. that should be the easiest tenraiha combo…other than that, kajoq would know better.
i should start getting back into the swing of things again. i just got a japanese stick. what better game to practice using it on.
