its not bugged its just tricky you need to delay the mk from c.lp in order for the tc to work
the trials still use the old versions of the characters
I may be wrong, but actually after playing around with a few different Tekken characters, it seems to be a global change to most Tekken strings, rather than a nerf of Christie directly.
Hm really? I haven’t noticed any changes in Law’s strings. Then again I haven’t actually looked at his frame data so I could be wrong
What do you guys think her wheel kicks are on block? I know its worse than -3 because Ken can SRK them
LP Wheel Kick should be -4, I think?
MP and HP should be -3.
What are you guys doing off of a ground bounce tag? I’m doing cr.lp, s.mk xx HP Front Stinger. I’m not totally sure if I’m optimizing the damage though
On a side note, why is it so difficult to find this forum on this new layout .___.
They bugged something. I went to this page <a href=“http://forums.shoryuken.com/index.php?categories/character-discussion.424/”>http://forums.shoryuken.com/index.php?categories/character-discussion.424/</a> just to check and see what was going on, and it tells the whole story.
Not sure if this is worth a new thread, but I wanted to ask about Gems for Christie. Which of the presets you think are best for her? Or is it role-specific?
I actually considering playing around with the green gems, maybe it will allow her to use the Tekken strings while at least being jab-proof. Just an idea…
What is the opponents option (interrupt, jump away etc…) if you go with the Rasteila strings on block/hit?

From what I know they can, jab, mash dp and even neutral jump out of the string.

Hey, I think I saw you in one of ssf4evo vid, to bad you didn’t get Christie to play in that match lol
anyway, even on hit? that too bad =\ how is she gonna be the mix up character

In 2013, her Rasteila mixups are only viable on hit and on whiff. On block they can just mash cr.lp because there is a gap after cr.lp, s.mk. So Rasteila strings are highly unsafe on block. But on hit, cr.lp, s.mk, cr.hk still combos no problem. Of course they can still interrupt most variations just like in vanilla.
In a nut shell:
-They can backdash from Rasteila to Circle Kick but they can’t jump out from it. And I don’t think it’s possible to raw launch.
-They can interrupt with a poke or jump out from Rasteila Chibata but they can’t backdash from it.
-They can backdash or Launcher the last hit of Rasteila to Heran Bago.
-They can punish Thong Bikini to Low Kick 2 on block but it’s a true blockstring. The last 2 hits can be delayed to uncombo.
-They can reversal all of these gaps obviously.
Against reversal mashers you should stop at cr.lp, s.mk, cr.hk and punish them.
From my experience Christie’s mixups are still good. Even against experienced players who know how to counter the various strings. Usually the best players don’t want to deal with this and will just cross-cancel the first blockable normal.
Anyone have any tips for fighting against Heihachi? I get blown up by him by players that know what they’re doing ._.
going to spend a lot of time in the lab with Christie…using Vulcan Hades’ videos to study as well
Rastelia mixups seems like a waste of time… the amount of damage someone gets from guessing right once and switch canceling, versus what you get from succesfully completing the mixup seems like its not worth it alot of the time… I dont’ I feel like these only work on people who haven’t seen it before, sorta like how online sweep, f+k is next to unblockable for some people. <div><br></div><div>I dont’ know Christy feels less like a mixup character and more like a zoning character, with some strong and safe oki options, don’t need Rastelia mixups for anything</div>
Considering you get a lot of damage from hit-confirming a poke into a M Wheel Kicks or Helicopter and tag canceling into your partner, I don’t know why’d you need to do a lot of mix-ups. Her neutral seems to be pretty good and cr.hp is crazy for AA.<br><br>I get 450 easy with King and Kuma off cr.mk xx Helicopter, closer to 490 with cr.hp and just a bit above 510ish for a jump-in<br>
Rasteila strings alone are kinda weak
and gimmicky (in 2012 they were an excellent way to build meter on block
but now they’re unsafe). But if you have a good partner to
set them up they can still be good.<br><br>I’ll post some vids later to
show how I like to use them. I also discovered something awesome
(stealth buff ) that I’ll share later.<br><br><blockquote class=“Quote”>

I definitely agree with this though. Christie’s up close pressure is too
risky and unsafe. She really shines at mid-range where she can zone
people with her godlike limbs, safely hit confirm into Wheel Kicks and
build meter with Stinger feint handstand cancels. Plus her godlike AA
that never trades and hits behind her. <br><br>Christie can be like a
wall at mid-range. Her footsies are very intimidating even for
characters like Law, Bison, Nina and Bryan. And the Mishimas feel free to me.
They get outpoked and can’t even jump at all.<br><br><br>
Okay that is what I was feeling as well.<br><br>It looks like you can link far Mk of st.lk as well? If thats possible then she has some nuts footsies because st.lk has no hitbox until like her knee so its a perfect poke. <br><br>Combine that with cr.hp and then of course the awesome guess of st.hp -(its like akuma st.rh but unsafe on block… though you can cancel it and back dash so not so bad.)<br>
