What math class are you taking?
college math. its online I just have loads of homework to plow through and im really slow cause its boring.
i am having trouble with my fadc combos anyone have any tips or tricks to make them easier. I know i am rushing them or my dash wont come out or i will miss one of the motions. been having trouble with this for a while anything will probably help

I’ll definitely be around more, I seem to pick up little nuances better, playing at these get togethers. More stuff to tool around on when I’m on LIVE during the week.
Are you doing motion 1[focus,:r: , :r:] or motion 2[ :r:, focus, :r: ] motion?
The second one seems like I always dash out of focus faster, because I just have to time one button press after the focus attack instead of two, because the first one is buffered during the move I’m canceling.
It would help if you told us what character you use. For Ryu and Sagat, both of their uppercut>FADC> ultra combos are lenient on timing and you can take is pretty slow (comparitively to other motions, it always feel like I can hold Ryu’s FA until almost a level 2 focus), so the first motion should be good. Just practice it for 30 minute-1 hour a day, and do full qcf for the ultra motions for either of them.
But, for characters like Fei Long’s Shien>FADC>hk CW you are almost required to use the second motion. Same with Bison’s hk Scissors>FADC >lk, lk, lkxxlk scissors. That’s because they are tight timing on both of those. I still can’t even do these well enough to risk them during real matches; keeping the EX meter right now is more rewarding for EX moves than risking these to me. Pretty sure the Shoto’s c.mkxxFireball>FADC>c.mkxxanything combos are also pretty tight, so you might want to use motion 2 for those.
That’s about the extent I know about FADC combos. Just practice the execution until they become second nature, and never let the execution on them fade away with consistent practice whenever you hit the training room.

try doing each section of the combo one at a time, then add on once you get the timing right.
for example with ryu:
-
practice a DP combo… cr.FP, d/f, d, d/f+FP
-
once you get that down. do DP focus attack. cr.FP, d/f, d, d/f+FP, MK+MP
-
after practicing the timing for that. try adding the dash. cr. FP, d/f, d, d/f+FP, MP+MK, f, f.
remember when you DP fadc, you have to hold mp+mk for a slight second so you can dash out of your focus attack.

Very similar to what I’ve been telling him…he’s been trying to get the shoryu > FADC Ultra down with Ryu for a while now…i dont know what other advice to give him…i was also tellin him today that he should have a team norfolk session with the new players some time…fireflyz, sully, and jaylee all new norfolk players from the GNT tourney live less than 5-6 minutes from our place. im usually too busy during the day to physically host at the house.

I have some parts for sale maybes? I did a trade+cash for one of the dual mods. Got a sanwa joystick, 3 extra ball tops, a bat top, spring, 16 sanwa/seimitsu buttons, 6 seimitsu microswitches, and 2 joystick wire harness. I just need the joystick and 6 of the buttons. The rest I can sell off.
Roski took 1st in SF4. Dunno about everything else.
If all goes well, I might be able to go back to the $50 SoVa dual mod special in a few weeks. However, this would only apply to 360 -> PS3 dual mods.

the T6 one that just came out. The joystick is kinda bothersome IDK if its me or what but I have trouble with it and wondering if you could give me some suggestions on what to do, since you know what your talkign about and I have no clue about anything on sticks other that I use them.

Ah, I’d have to modify a sanwa joystick so that it can fit inside the T6. Pay for the parts and I can install it all for $20. Lots of dremel work involved 
I’d love to start hosting casuals. I don’t have the space for the turnouts some of y’all have right now. Working on home purchas though. The unfortunate part is that Ill be moving over to Hampton/Newport News area. It’s much closer to Christina’s office. Space won’t be an issue then.
Christina and I often host smaller gatherings with friends of ours and usually involves awesome food, beer or wine. It’s kind of my other hobby I guess. Would anyone be interested in something like that? We’d probably run 3-4 TVs for Fighters, 1 pool table and some great grub. Think of it like a seriously awesome pub@home for the SoVA guys.
It’s going to take some time to put together, but if that’s something any of you are interested in let us know.
