I started with Boxer hit a wall where I was losing a lot and started practicing with Chun-Li. Execution is terrible atm with her so I haven’t started watching vids for strats, just kind of feeling out what works and what doesn’t.

I have a real hard time when getting rushed down when im playing Chun and im real easy to cross up on both characters but im working on it. Sometimes I will completely destroy the guy, others it’s like nothing I do works. Starting to blame my poor execution on online play(“I did Ultra not EX HAZANSHU AGHHHHHH”).

Could be a couple things, not long enough back charge, hitting down when comming back, hitting the 3 too early… Who knows, im a scrub could be anything.

Does chun have any safe specials to pressure with? Thats the biggest change for me from the two, not having a safe special.

Hazan Shu, at least the short , and forward versions seem pretty safe… long as you don’t whiff…

Throwing random hasan-shu is a good way to get killed. Sweep and hasan-shu get destroyed by focus. You have to get used to using that st.strong in terms of safe offense.

st.strong twice can beat some character’s focus attacks which are slower like Rog and Honda.

Execution wise, there’s not much to Chun. Just cr.short, cr.jab, mash KKK, or at least that’s how I do most of my stuff, I have pretty bad execution.

You can learn all the other links along the way like hasan-shu into cr.short xx EX LL.

Get comfortable with using st.strong as your main poke and don’t get random regular legs.

The original team had you over styles because i knew styles hadn’t been playing, and who knows maybe i won’t make it… I haven’t played much sf4 lately… a lot of HDR, but boy did DGV rape the living shit out of me last night… but i did get one round… it’s like that man is a fucking speed freak with that ryu man…
