How long did it take you guys to get used to doing her j.DD, j.dd, 214D? I’m having a hell of a time getting the timing down. I won’t quit, but damn do those V13 videos on youtube make it look easy. I always mess it up somehow.

You have to learn your own position relative to the opponent to jump in the right direction for the sword to hit. It’s never the same. You have to get used to recognizing which sword will hit where.

Sometimes I won’t even get the second jump lol. I’m so bad on a rudimentary level. It feels like I’m just out of reach of being pretty amazing with her. Everything has to be perfect to be good with Nu. She’s so fickle.

I have the same issues with the easy j.C, 2j.C, dj.C, 2dj.C, 214C (God I hope I wrote that right.)

Simple combo, bread and butter, as basic and scrubby as it gets. But doing it so that I squeeze out every little hit of those spinning blades is a bitch. If I wait too long they air recover, if I chain chancel them too soon I feel like I wasted a good chance to do some good damage.

Guess it’s just going to take time.

For the gravity well to float the other guy you have to hit them up close with it right?

Hrm, I’ve only managed to get them to float accidentally. LoL Trying it up close with either of them only “tapped” them but didn’t cause them to float. Maybe it floats them as a counter hit?

Yea contrary to popular belief, mashing with v-13 actually does not work. Well, unless your opponent is an idiot. I’ve been playing her since the arcade unlock and will admit that she tends to suffer from ST dhalsim syndrome. If someone gets in good your just fucked. Only character I’ve ever played that you occasionally have to early burst so you don’t die in the 2nd combo you take lol.

Gravity pools hitbox is a little odd. If you look really really close when you activate it, you can see this damn near invisible orb flash which is the hitbox area for it. You almost have to be point blank for it to combo. Example: 3C, A gravity pool, 6A, TK 214 D, run in deep, 3C, A gravity pool, … shenanigans ? or whatever the hell you want to do.

I fail with this beautiful mechagirl sometimes because I’m so used to acting on anticipation rather than reaction. After playing a mirror match with another V-13 and getting my ass handed to me though, I realized her long range mixups are ridiculous. All you gotta do is react to the enemy rather than constantly trying to set him up on anticipation. Good reaction and shaking the enemy up with your mobility destroys morale.

She does suffer similar issues to Dhalsim, but Dhalsim was never this proactive. If you get into your opponents head and shake them from their comfort zone, perfects are possibly easiest to attain with Nu.

The girl is simply vicious, cold and uncaring. She doesn’t give a shit what you or your mother thinks about her. She’ll walk into the house with muddy shoes. She’ll piss on the seat and then leave it up. All your potato chips will be gone. She will drink all the milk from the bottle and leave the empty plastic inside. Fuck your couch.

roflmao, yea you definitely need fast reaction times. She just requires tons of patients, if you become impatient and poke wrong you just lost half your life.

So, Inverse, I promised you a mini write-up so here we go.

You did a good job hitting me with swords at times. Then you kind of kept doing the same swords, allowing me to read them and to get in on you and do damage.

Also, you should always finish your C melees with 236D. Not finishing them sacrifices a very important knockdown.

You should be a little less obvious with the grab gimmicks. The frames to tech grabs are huge and went for it in all the same situations. Try to throw in a few pokes to make the opponent fall asleep and then grab.

You barrier bursted VERY early into rounds on several occasions. Avoid that if at all possible. You always seem to burst during gravity combos and/or the j.C j.2C combos. Try to save it till the end of the round because as Nu, the damage you take after a burst is not worth the damage you might be saving from an early round burst.

The combos will come. Give it time. I’ve had huge experience with games like Arcana Heart, Melty Blood, Guilty Gear and others. I will pick up on things much faster in Blazblue, then the average fighting game player. Keep at it and good luck. I’ll have Nu mirrors with you anytime.

Oh I know how to play her, I’ve been playing for a few months now.

It’s just for the purpose of this thread, xcopying from ZBB / Dustloop or throwing up match vids isn’t going to help when 98% of you don’t know how to play her / this game. There’s alot more to her then just DERR HURRR MASH DDDDDDDDDD.

Found a cool use for her j.214D+C u can do 5DD>J.2DD>j.214D+C>j.2DD as a block string with little interruption i think they may be able to instant block air dash but your 5DD would catch them if you replaced it at the end.

Noticed a lot of the Japanese v-13’s were doing it and it adds a pretty cool mixup. U can even cancel it and land quicker and go for a low cuz they think you whiffed a 214D or do a 2C into whatever.

God v-13 is so fun.

power make sure you include that all of her specials do alternate thing if you press D+C and not just D.

j.214D awesome overhead (TK j.214D is an instant overhead that can be RC’d into 40%+ dmg)

j. 214D+C feints this move and allows you to recover quicker from blocked aerial swords (jump cancelling naturally faster just you have to go up when u jump)

236D Long range low sweep starts next to Nu
236D+C Long range low sweep that starts on other side of screen (seems slower than 236D on startup)

214D Swords come from ground long startup but can followup with 6D or 2D for more dmg
214D+C more dmg but MUCH more startup

Yes. Her drive (swords) gatling into one another.
