Hey guys sorry for sleeping on this for a while, but Reg Sessions has begun. Randall Tanaka has volunteered to be the primary officer, but if anyone else wants to help out, just post in this thread. I know pretty much everyone was for it, so let’s make this happen! Sorry for asking for this from you guys but since I’m not a current student, I can’t help with the registration process.
Other than that, we can still meet with Console Freeplay, whenever they plan on having sessions (I’m not sure if they have current sessions going on).
Also, some of us are going to be meeting on Wednesday at campus so post up if you want to join us.
UDist event planned to be a monthly!

Ok so I go to UW now and have classes at night on Mondays and Wednesdays (7-930pm) If anyone is trying to play SF4 or MvC3 Lemme know. Also still kinda new to the U-Dist so directions are very important. It’d be cool to get some matches in before class. Since I’m probably going to be entering NWMs and not trying to get random’d out I guess I should start practicing again ughh.

You should check out the Shoryuken UW Facebook page. It gets updated more often than this thread whenever stuff is going down.

Hey, I live nearby and would be up for some sessions whenever if you would have me. I hope to see you guys at the GameClucks monthly this Saturday at Dante’s.
We usually have meets on Wednesdays, usually in a room in one of the study rooms in the library. If you guys don’t want to post up in the facebook, I can post up here again. For the most part, we try to meet weekly.
Just wanted to update this thread in case there are some UW students looking on SRK. We currently have a sizable group (both students of UW and people from the Seattle FG community) attending our sessions. We usually host sessions every Friday afternoon in Red A in Allen Library until 6 pm, then relocate (building is dependent on what is available) and continue our session until people decide to leave. We also host Danisen ranking battles too to keep ourselves motivated. We sometimes hold other sessions such as Comboratory hosted by Shaka and Collin on Wednesdays and the occasional weekend session at one of our houses.
The best way to grab a hold of us is via Facebook through our page, Shoryuken UW. Non-students are also welcome to join us, especially if you live close by the U-District. If you have any questions, the best way to reach us is through this FB page.

Also gonna try to stream more regularly. http://www.twitch.tv/srkuw/b/314892154 for our last session with Skullgirls (audio starts around 52m). We forgot a lot of equipment last week, so no cams or commentary, but they’ll return for this Friday’s stream (probably 3:30pm - 5:30pm ish).
For our Friday 6pm to later sessions, we’ve been holding danisen battles for UMvC3 and AE 2012 and we are trying to alternate between that and KOF & Skullgirls every other week. It’s free and a fun way to rank up characters (and to crush others dreams of playing Dudley).
Our facebook group is: http://www.facebook.com/groups/252120041483549/
Do I have to be a student at UW to play?
Not at all. Just show up, and make sure you join the group
Hi guys, looking to stop by tonight, please text me at 931-260-8396 with an address and I’ll stop by
We’ve been having some pretty good turnout lately! For those of you who don’t know, we’ve been meeting weekly at UW from around 2:30 to 10-12ish. We frequently update our facbeook group but if anyone wants me to update the SRK page, lmk.
Thanks for having the MK guys there last night guys lots of fun! If any of you have an interest in learning the game just holler!

I’m not an avid facebook user so having more updates here would be greatly appreciated. I’d like to get in on these gatherings, thanks.
Sounds good!
This week is going to be Skullgirls/KOF Danisen ranbats going to be held this Friday! We will try to hold casuals for the other games if setups warrant it. We tend to meet from around 2:30 pm to around 10-11 pm. I’ll update the thread once I get all the details.

Wow, 9 months since our last post.
Since then, SRKUW has been active. In fact, we’ve been very, very active! Our main session is every Friday on campus at the UW. We’re usually in Savery Hall playing whatever we’re in the mood for: AE 2012, UMvC3, SFxT, SF4 Remix, MvC2, VS, SSBM, P4U, etc. We still mainly communicate through Facebook in our group <a href=“http://www.facebook.com/groups/252120041483549/”>Shoryuken UW</a>, but I’ll try to keep this updated more often or may Samuelio will.
We have a <a href=“http://www.facebook.com/events/463768143678798/”>session</a> planned for this Friday starting at 6pm (may get moved to 7pm). There’s no entry fee or anything, we just ask that you bring your own controller, if possible, but we’re cool lending out pads or sticks if needed. We play on both Xbox 360s and PS3s, so bring whatever you have.
Man, there’s so much history in this thread. My introduction to this group, Lain’s and our group’s dark days with Melty Blood… I have to give this a read!
Any CVS2, UMK3, SSF2T, or any other old school street fighter and old school mortal kombat games?

</blockquote>Meant to respond to this sooner. There’s always a little bit of ST, but no CvS2 or UMK3. That being said, I think a few of our guys might be interested in learning. We have an old Texas(?) CvS2 head who always wants to make it out, but he lives a distance away and has a family so it’s hard.<br><br>We’ll be holding another session this Friday. Savery Hall, 6pm, room TBD. I gotta get the Facebook page up at some point, but I have post-monthly write ups to do.<br><br>EDIT: <a href=“http://www.facebook.com/events/457858830951217/”>Facebook event page</a> is up. This week will feature the return of the SBO-style tournaments at 9pm, specifically for SF4 Remix and SF4 1st hit, bo1<br>

Session tomorrow! Details are on <a href=“http://www.facebook.com/events/349877361798377/”>Facebook</a>. SamuelioX’s been talking crap, so we’re gonna beat him up in Mario Party 5.<br><br>Skip’s bringing his PS2 with CvS2, but he only has one PS2 stick. Besides that, there’s always SF4 and UMvC3 in some form.<br><br>If I ever can’t be reached and you don’t use Facebook, try twitter (<a href=“https://twitter.com/tLozSEA”>@tLozSEA</a>). I’m not the best at checking SRK nowadays. Still trying to change that.<br>
Mario Party 5 is done. Never again.
