There is Devastation, but I think I am done with travel this year. It’s too hard on the family and catching up with school is a bitch.
I hated playing Viper in vanilla with 100000000 button presses per second. I might pick up Fei.

I live in sandy too we should all play together sometime. I’m a 2000pp player still got some stuffto work on but am totally willing to learn and play.
I hear Devastation won’t be like past years, it’s gonna be shitty this year. Understandable, focus on the family and school, and break out into some tourneys next year.

Hey, i’m an online warrior, I play Deejay and Dudley, and I’d like to join the local street fighter scene here in Utah. Do you guys play weekly at the game grid?
Nah, we used to, we play casuals at a couple people’s places now. We usually post when we are hosting them, so you should check here often
Ok thanks man, I really need the practice.

Don’t be afraid to add us all on XBL also. There is a player list on the blogspot in my sig i believe.
Edit: At least I thought there was…can’t seem to find it
Oh shit forgot it was part of the old Utah Thread.
My PSN is KingFerris. If you new players are on PSN, add it.

I am not from Utah however. Will be back to playing online here this wed’ish when I finally get moved into my new place.
Talked to Tony a few days ago, Logan casuals are about to start in earnest, as soon as I figure out what the fuck is going on with my work. Sunday afternoons or late Saturday nights appear to be the target.
From what it sounds like, we should be pulling a good group on a weekly basis. Seems like we’ve got a lot of ST/3S players converging on Cache Valley. TV will be running AE of course, got arcade cabinets rigged up for ST (for the Team Utah old guard) and KOF 2002 (in anticipation for XIII).
Since I haven’t updated you guys on the CV scene in awhile (largely because I’ve been inactive myself), here’s our player roster for the time being.
Patrick Mifflin (DarkCatalyst/801 Bun Bu Ryo Do)
Tony Stockseth (Blackchance/Jaded Perspective)
Nate Reed
David Roberson (Gallows)
Shane Douglass (Gelsoln, my kind-of-protege, still showing him what’s awesome about fighting games.)
Nony Sorth (NoNymoUs, never met the kid but he’ll be invited to casuals)
Two CRAZY good ST players out in Richmond whose names always escape me. (ALPHAVILLAN)
Will also be seeing if Joey Geurts cares to get back into tourney play. He really held his own in 2005 on 3rd Strike and Tekken 5 and it sounds like he could be talked into returning to the scene. And of course Mr Means coming in a few weeks.
Cache Valley Street Fighter has quietly been growing.
Don’t know what it’ll mean for AE, if anything, but there’s a LOT of artillery in this valley for when 3S OE hits.
Whoa… Is there anyone posting here from CV other than you? Does anyone from SLC go to the famed CV casuals/tourneys? By saying the scene over there is growing, are you saying that you guys have 2-3 new people? Who is part of this “Team Utah” you keep speaking of, is it just you and Gallows? Are you really the founder of Team Utah? Why don’t you guys come down to our tourneys? WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED WITH BATTOU??
These are serious questions btw, I’m interested in learning more on the acclaimed Cache Valley SF scene.

3S OE? That will be a small following wont it?
I should probably quit fighters… I obviously don’t know wtf I’m doing
Went to Hawaii Street Fighter Facebook and saw this:
Eric Lee
Things I learned over EVO weekend.
- No one plays yun/yang. Everyone plays Fuerte, Viper, and Fei.
- Poongko looks like a giant baby. He had trouble putting his hands on the station because of his height.
- Most people who’ve heard of me assumed I was black.
- Utah duuuudes are hella chill dawgggggs. No homo broooooo.
- Only place where the men’s bathroom has a longer line than the women’s bathroom.
- Also only place where 2 trannies look hotter than any girl there.
- Gold Coast Buffet is the best buffet.
- Sherry + Burnurbra calling people out for 2v2 money matches = easiest money ever.
- There was actually a line of people to get Mike Ross and Gooteck’s signatures. They were laughed at.
- Going to salty suites early = finding the most freeist people to money match.
- Ponder: Bong margaritas and alcohol are banned from ballroom. Walk in with margaritas in everyones hands.
- Dieminion wore a white tee shirt everyday.
- I saw at least 30 floes.
- SFxTekken looks like ass in real life.
- AE rebalance patch means Sagat, Seth, Adon, Yun, and Yang will be nerfed.
- Most street fighter players look ghetto as fuck
- 8 year olds beating hipsters in mvc3.
- Sanford Kelly is actually a fairly nice person
- He still salty though
- Qanba’s aren’t built for throwing
- Can’t wait for next year.
Is there anyone posting besides me? Not unless you count Mark Means who we’re adding shortly. I don’t like that they aren’t doing it either.
Do SLC players come to CV tourneys/casuals? No, and I don’t expect them to, though they’re certainly welcome. We used to get SLC presence, but SFIV killed that.
By saying the CV scene is growing, I’m saying we have the players I listed in my previous post. I thought I was relatively straightforward with that.
Team Utah was the name of the Utah fighting game community as a whole before UTSF came along. It started in 2002 when I found Jacob Bleyl and Dan Silver on here, and we started getting some events together. As I was the first Utah player on SRK and the first to run a tournament, I would say that qualifies me for the status of Team Utah founder.
Why don’t we come down for tournaments? Largely transportation issues. I admit I could have made it down to GG a few times, but by the time I could, I was pretty unmotivated about being a part of the Utah scene as a whole.
What happened to BATTOU? The response when I brought it up explains it better than I ever could. It was made pretty clear that it was unwanted and unnecessary.
OMFG! Dark catalyst vs Lord nate in a frost to ten. The founder vs the reviver aka godfather of Utah street fighters
