I wanted to give LL one more chance but I’m sticking with modchipman from now on.
Why is this? Is it to stressful to run? Keep in mind nathan and I are experienced tourney runners and we are more than willing to help in any way we can. Switching it to invite only would really suck for many people for many reasons.
Invite only is lame…just ask for help Andy. Make it RSVP if you have to.
I’ll help with Matty’s laptop and recording/renaming if you still need someone.
The invite only thing is sorta bomba to the ideals you want. You want to bring more people in to have a good time and bring the competition. Not alienate newcomers. Get some help if you’re under the pressure.

i just ordered ball tops no pushbuttons this time and I thanked the secret garden people on their boards. I dunno about the invite only thing, how will new players come into the scene will they have to try out? and making a list every other week sounds like a lot of work too, it brings up too many problems i think. Why shrink the scene when its currently getting bigger? If you need help, i can help record and whatever you need if it’s calling people to play or just handling the brackets. As other tourney runners, i went to the Smash tourney’s that Nate and Zack held and they ran well so i can vouch for them as doing good work since I’ve been to a few of their tourney’s before
Left 4 dead 2 was the highlight of that conference for me.

Guys, sorry, but the invite thing is just an IDEA. Matty and I have been throwing around the idea. Seems as if not many ppl are helping clean up b/c I got some complaints last time from the p42 guy. Last ranbat, I was desperately calling around for ppl to bring tv’s and consoles b/c the original ppl that promised couldn’t or wouldn’t
I don’t want to make it invite only, b/c I like the scene but I can do w/o the douche bags who don’t help. I’ve opened my door a plenty for ppl as for as letting use my place, lending sticks, and selling cheapass Sanwa parts; I don’t expect reciprocal change but I do ask that ppl clean up when I ask and also post on a forum saying “Thank you.”
I understand that’s tough work and all, but seriously. . .it would take 5 minutes out of your day.

Thomas, this is real advice. The game SF4 I find just as fun as I did Feb. 17. The reason: play a bit less man. Anything gets old after 2 hrs a day or more. Just don’t play for a day or so. This ain’t professional basketball, you won’t drop your skills. Then when you pick it up again, you’re like Jesus fuck this is fun. Trust me on this.
