Why Alienware monitor? I personally have not feel any different playing on the Asus or the AW monitors. They both have excellent response time. The Asus actually has built in speakers and almost HALF the price.

dude the speakers i bought are so bomb, hella loud and basy , hella cheap at walmart… i think they are some logitech shit im not sure … they are pretty nice, theyve calld the cops about 3 times since i got em i think… its the 6 piece set with the sub woofer about 70$ or u can the 2 piece with sub for like 38$

I bought speakers from D.I. and gave them to Andy for one of his set ups and they are fine. Andy brings them when he travels

For convenience sake, I just got some cheap 2.0 speakers. I really don’t care about bass and shit; you might not travel around with your monitor as much as mine but I needed something portable.

If you want hellah cheap, Paul bought me some 2 dollar ones from D.I. Or go on amazon there’s a crap load of 2.0 logitech speakers for 15 bucks or less.

There’s a bit of difference between Asus and the Alienware in terms of “lag,” but minimal; nothing that you can blame gameplay on really. However the color and clarity of the Alienware is wayyy better.

Ordering the monitor right now. yeah, I’ll probably just find a sub $100 dollar 2.0 speaker set and call it good.

Also, I guess the only way to get the Hauppauge working with the Alienware is to get a hdmi splitter and a HDFury 2/3? I guess I’ll check ebay for a used HDFury since they are kind of pricey… Or I can just wait a month until I build a new pc and get a Blackmagic card or something. hhhmm

Logitech z2300 are the speakers I have and I think they are the shit. They are loud and fucking great.

Sweet. Found a $50 dollar visa gift card I got for doing exceptional work a few days before I was laid off. :rofl: Monitor was like $175 after tax (fuck tax on the net). Only $15 more than the Asus with rebate from Newegg. Assuming Newegg doesn’t charge tax. :rock:
