I’m not gonna lie. SF4 will last 'til EVO maybe longer. There will be a few more versions of it and keep it fresh. I’ll be honest KOFXII/BB seem like things to get interested in. Maybe build a ranbat.
This game is just starting, only 3 months old. Games don’t get old as long as** competition ** is around.
I’m open for KOF/BB in the future. I’ll tell you the truth, I like casuals for the old games, but I’m not too interested in them. Ppl will play them at casuals, but not many I know for a fact will care to practice them for competition. That’s just the reality.
Anyone can organize ranbats for the older games; I won’t. But I’ll be more than happy to have casuals for them.

I’d hope we would keep the street fighter ranbat seasons going… teams sound interesting… I’m calling dibs on Andrew, Kelly… Maybe Brian if he stops losing tournaments. But If not I would really hate to get stuck on someone like Andy’s team.
As for other fighters… I’m all for playing other games. If more people are willing to help with hardware, especially tv sets, it would be cool to get some other games running for casuals in the background. I hope there is a bit of interest in KOFXII, and especially BlazBlue. I don’t know about other people, but I’m not going back to 3S, CvS2, or MvC2. Those games all had their time and I’ve moved on… and some just suck cough MvC2 cough. But you guys should feel free to play whatever you want if the interest is there.
I would like to throw Dark Presence on the potential ranbat season list… if it is ever released. Looks fucking epic!

And as for my take on other fighting games, I’ve been a huge fighting game player all my life and have played almost all of them hardcore style BUT I only play whats new. Once A new game that is better comes out I always pretty much leave the old games behind. With that said I don’t see anything surpassing SF4 for awhile. At least not for me. Blazblue does look pretty cool and I’ll probably buy it, but i don’t really see it pulling me away from SF4 too much.

I still really want to be into Turbo… I stopped playing because SFIV is what has the competition around here, and IV started messing with my game in Turbo. Constantly doing the wrong normals, and trying to throw with two buttons etc. =/

I’d play tekken 6. Though so many hate it so I don’t see us getting too into it. Plus I’m a little annoyed with the trend of adding fat asses to these new games. What happened? Tekken devs saw SF4 and we’re like “OMG LOOK AT THAT FAT ASS! WE HAVE TO HAVE ONE TOO!!!”
Fat fucks cannot fight. With the exception of sumo’s. So honda is fine. But that fatass rufus would be out of breath after the first step. And no way in hell could move that fast. Whoever thought up making a fat fuck a good fighter in a video game needs to be shot.

Naw it’s not realism I’m talking about. Whens the last time you looked at a fat guy just chowin down at mcdonalds and said “Man he’s awesome”.
I like cool characters. Now if that fat guy was a sumo wearing a sumo diaper(whatever those things are called). While the sight wouldn’t be my favorite, watching him sumo smash something would be awesome.
A fat jiggly belly with no muscle is disgusting. They could have made rufus better. Besides just a really big fat guy. There’s no character as stupid as rufus. Even fuerte has a certain coolness to him. The only reason anyone likes rufus is either because he’s a really good character, or because they think he’s a hilarious joke. The jokes shoulda been left at Dan.
Edit: Dunno why I’m even trying to debate it. Clearly neither of us will ever agree on anything, when I hate one of your favorite characters and you hate one of my favorites.
