We?re up to 44 now with this weeks addition of Aaron from Riverton (not Orem) and ?Strider? from West Valley. Aaron has been around for a while, and is known to uglyduckling and co. plus yours truly, and is a wiz with the yo-yo. Seriously, check out his skills sometime. ?Strider? comes to Utah from SoCal and has already endeared himself to all by wasting DSP with Abel and having it immortalized on YouTube. That was just plain awesome.

- 7 pm SHARP. . .we will be playing from 7:15 pm and trying to end at 10pm. Casuals from 3pm until 7pm. Help with the setup would be greatly appreciated and dinner will be provided for manual laborers that show early.
- Bracket only double elimination setup, no pools.
- BYOC (bring your own controller), I have sticks to lend out but if you feel more comfortable with your stick please bring it. For ppl that use pads, it’s your responsibility to replug the sticks back since you are the minority.
- No dinner break sorry, eat beforehand. Plenty of sodas/water/lemonade will be provided by me. I’ll have cookies/chips. Please wash your hands before you use my stick b/c that irritates me pretty badly.
- Lastly?a $5.00 ENTRY FEE.

This week marks a major uptick in the number of videos produced by UTSF members due to Andy?s purchase of the Hauppage recorder. 4 matches were submitted, and of those?wait for it?Jacob?s Gief victory over Andy?s Chun gets the nod this week on the strength of the nail-biting Ultra vs Ultra 2nd round finisher. You?ll just have to watch it on the UtahStreetFighters blog?probably for the 10th time. Thanks to those who submitted videos!

Thought I’d fire up the old PS3 for once and get some ranked matches in last night. To date, I’ve played a total of 35 ranked matches and I got another 10 or so in to eek over 2000 BP…I ran into my first ever true flowchart Ken, man I hate playing online…
Wow… So far playing on a stick is indescribable. I can execute a lot of my combo’s better. But just basic play I’m like a retard who’s never played the game before. May as well be playing like a flowchart ken. And I can’t even practice as long as I could with a pad cause it seems to actually make you use muscle. I’m liking it, but I have a feeling these next few weeks are going to be immensely frustrating.
I can actually do cammy’s tk cstrike on this so if I ever get my basic skill back I might actually be able to pull off some scary combos. Though I’m having a LOT of trouble doing FADC’s into cammys double cannon spike combo. Well, we’ll see how it goes I guess. I’m planning on sticking with the stick, so don’t expect me to be winning any ranbats anytime soon, at least until I get my basic skill back.
I have had alot of trouble learning my second character seth on the joystick. Blanka is easy sauce on it…but seth? I am pretty sure its my joystick that came in my cheap set so I am goign to have to buy an oct notch one er whatever you call it lol.

Konqqr, I want some rematches on PSN. I really want to test my capabilities on my joystick and your balrog would be a nice test. I tried adding you and maybe you denied it, but my new PSN is “Zman94ok” Unless your hate for online play is so great…we can wait till this weekend.

Thomas and Brian, it may be hard to adjust to the stick…but believe me, once you get used to it there is no going back.
Yeah I can already tell its gonna be a rough transition. But at the same time I can see that I’m able to pull off combo’s that I honestly thought we’re beyond my skill level. I’ll most likely be switching Cammy to my main as well in the process. There’s some pretty sick combos I can do with her now that I couldn’t before. I can also successfully do hooligan without fucking it up all the time like I did on the pad.
Will anyone in the Provo area be able to give me a ride this Saturday? If so, call me or text me.
