I too play for fun. I’ll stop being an asshole. It’s unintentional, sorry. Also, I really don’t care what people think.
You should. This isn’t some group where you can make a protest or whatever–Andy really does have the right and ability to prohibit people from coming.
And I haven’t seen the comments myself, but if you really said something like “shitty Ryu” when you’re 17, new, and not a good player (you aren’t able to beat some of the Ogden crew, and as Kyle humbly suggested, the Ogden scene is not where the best players are right now) and you do it numerous times, then yeah, it’s annoying.
You can only apologize so many times and say so many times how unserious you are before it gets to the point where it does nothing for you. Considering Matty and Andy’s comments, it seems you’ve reached that point.
I lost to Kyle and Zack. Beat everyone else. I consider those two the best of the ogden crew. I’m not horrible and I have been practicing when before I didn’t. Anyways, I’m most likely not better than the SLC crew. I’ll have to deal with it.
*sigh
Well, anyways I’ll be at the ranbat if I’m not allowed to enter, I won’t. I’ll just do something else. Protocol is a computer place, right? Maybe they’ll have starcraft.
LOL, I don’t think this guy gets it. I’m not asking, I’m straight up saying you ain’t invited pal. This is a private ordeal, not public. Unless Kyle personally asks me to let your ass come, don’t. If you do decide to come, then Renzo can meet you at the door. Peace. Sorry, but you are fucking annoying as hell.

P.S. Rudy, damn, YO ANYONE WANT TO RECORD THE MATCHES? PLEASE I NEED HELP WITH MATTY’S COMPUTER.
Everyone here just needs to lighten the fuck up. Honestly, the pros talk shit a lot and you don’t see them bitching and saying, “I don’t want him to come ;(”. Don’t be pussies. Seriously, grow up.
-
The pros go to tournies where anyone is invited they don’t have a choice in who comes.
-
Scenario: I throw a party, where I put up equipment and money to host it. Why would I invite some kid no one really cares for? Exactly. Go to the yugioh forums or whatever the fuck you play. Last time I post on this. You will not change my mind but being more of a douche. The funny part is, you suck at this game.

You’ve never seen me play this game, so you wouldn’t know how good I am. Also, I’d probably own you anyways, pussy. It doesn’t matter. I won’t go to your ranbat. It’s a house full of scrubs who think they are in the Street Fighter scene. When you guys go to evo you’ll play real Street Fighter players and get owned.
Thomas… Dude, seriously. I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and I stepped up to defend you because I honestly believe that you’re just that anxious to play some fighting games. But you aren’t going to make any friends by insulting local players. We’re a very friendly group, and although I may not be buddy-buddy with everyone here, I still interact with them at least a couple of times a month. If you want to do the same, then you need to have some common decency about yourself and stop insulting folks.
I didn’t read the comments that Matty was referring to, but I have no reason to doubt him. You can’t just shoot little insults out and then be all like, “I was just giving advice” or “I was just joking”. Not cool, dude.
Just try not to be so goddamn negative. Remember, we’re all friends around here. So if you want to be a part of things, then you need to humble yourself quite a bit and be a little more friendly yourself. At least earn some stripes before talking shit.
It’s this childish attitude that got you into this situation in the first place. You need to stop acting like this if you ever want redemption. This IS Andy’s party, he runs the show and you messed up. Sorry buddy.
hahaha i like how he called us scrubs. hahahahahah!!! dude even if this wasnt a street fighter thing you would get your ass JUMPED for bringing that kind of attitude to ANY kind of get together.
Oh well the trash is in the garbage now we dont have to deal with dog shit anymore.
PS. School sucks… My Computer science book just cost me 140…
In other news, I predict that Ogden/Layton are going to represent in the Top 10 next ranbat! Hey, it’s a humble goal, I know. But we gotta start somewhere, right? My chances were looking a lot better when you guys were all going to Devastation, lol
Well, here goes. Too everyone I’ve insulted/offended. I do apologize. I see why you guys are mad. I’m some random kid coming to your forums talking shit and only criticizing. I was an asshole and I only want to improve at IV. I should be more polite and nice. I didn’t come here to make enemies, but it happened and I am disappointed in myself. I realize that some of you are better than me and I probably don’t realize that I am probably worse than more than I think. I would like to start on new terms. I am sorry. I know most of you don’t like me and I understand why and I’d like to change your opinions. I’d like to attend your ranbat and meet new people as well as get better, though it’s up to you guys if you want me there.
Some people just haven’t played in person with the fighting game scene in so long that they don’t know how to deal with people socially. The online scene makes people jaded. Years of your local in crowd and online play make you feel you can jab on someones playstyle without any concern since you’re not really ever in front of them.
Sorry, but the reality is, these are real people on this board. I met them. I know that for a fact. Yes, the fighting game scene is always full of trash talk, but what it’s even more full of is common decency. I guarantee you that Evo has kicked many an asshat and banned them from their tournaments. I also guarantee you that the pros don’t burn bridges even with the most casual of player. It’s not just about you.
Wow. This. And every bit of this.
Although there is no excuse for it, I can see why it’s harder for the younger guys to get involved with real tournament scenes. I didn’t grow up with the internet, and all of my competitive gaming was done in person. Trash-talking would have landed me upside down in the trashcan at the arcade at the very least. But with the type of element that occupied the arcades in the very early 90’s, it could just as easily turned into a stabbing or a group beatdown. Man, those times were rough. But I definitely learned a thing or two about how to approach people.
With the advent of the internet and accessible online gaming, we’re seeing more and more lack of respect and lack of common decency. I don’t think that Thomas really meant any harm (after all he’s about 130lbs soaking wet). I think he was more or less following suit with all of the shit-talking going on already. What he failed to realize is that we all know each other IRL, and that can make a world of difference when you’re joking with one another.
At any rate, Thomas I can appreciate your apology. It takes a man to admit when he’s wrong. I hope that what you said is sincere. If so, I hope others take it as such.
well thomas5000 it looks like you apologized and if you stick up to your word, maybe people will lighten up to you. You’ve noticed what you did. and seriously its like, why? I guess if you were way close friends with any of us, you could give some pointers or even critique a bit. I dunno, your whole attitute is a little shaddy and rude, and dont call anyone scrubs. because ill take you with cammy anyday hehe.
p.s. I’ve gotten alright with a stick. its way hard, but, i can do it (; Ive beaten nico a couple of times!
Alright, first of all, if you can’t beat Zach/Kyle; you aren’t gonna even handle me. Don’t call me a pussy. I don’t appreciate that. Your apology is not accepted unless you drive up from Roy to the Ranbat and kiss my fucking ass. Sorry, I’m not some scrub kid who lives with his parents and throws “street fighter get togethers.” I’m a straight up adult who pays bills and contributes to fucking society unlike some white trash *** from Roy. These Ranbats are meant to improve skill and have fun. You have shit skill and don’t seem fun at all. Don’t ever come on this forum talking shit to me when you don’t know me, fuckface. Calling me a pussy? Who do you think you are?
Unless, Kyle gives me the okay; don’t show your face. I realize your 17 and fucking dumb however I don’t chill with with immature kids.
Glad you said sorry, but sounds pretty damn insincere b/c 5 minutes earlier you just talked mad shit. Sorry kid, everyone knows we’ve all contributed to the scene, and maybe I’ve done a tad more than others. So I kinda got a right to say who’s in and who’s out.

So true Elvis, realized most of the 20 and under crowd never really spent much time in the arcades (if they did they were probably less than 8 yo). Ppl think us old arcade gamers are socially inept like pcgamers but far from it; we went to arcades b/c it was SOCIAL. You are right; talking shit at 7-11 while playing World Warrior would get you fucked up in real life. Unlike the Internet where you can talk shit all day and hide behind a monitor.

All right, I also apologize if I said anything that went the wrong way. I say we let Thomas5000 in on the fun.
Bring it Davis County ladies. We’re ready for ya. I got some new Chun mixup, that includes throwing.
