I agree that 3S is way better than SF4, but there will most likely never be any ranbats for it unless you do it yourself and pray people come.

on a serious note… SFIV is more noob friendly and spectator friendly thats how I got dragged in the scene… I had never played a fighting game till sfiv and I got really addicted fast…

This. I honestly don’t like SFIV half as much as I like 3S. But I want to play competitively, and SFIV is where I’ll find that competition. I’m cool with that.
And why hold ranbats for 3S when there’s only going to be like 4 or 5 people playing? Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t play it. We’ll definitely continue to play it at future tourneys, but I don’t think that there’s enough demand to bother with brackets and shit when we can just duke it out KOTH style.

and get yourself some sanwa buttons. I have a SE also and i switched those buttons out quick fast. It’s really easy too, everything is a quick disconnect on the SE and TE.

Also, to the Ken player. He is a good shoto, though I think he’s worse in SFIV compared to Ryu for a few reasons that I’ll list. Ryu has more juggles to ultras and more juggles in general. I also think Ryu has better options when you want to mix up.

obviously ryu has better options than ken, he’s by far the better shoto, but you are wrong on one thing, ken’s mixup game is miles ahead of ryus. Ryu’s mixup basically comes down to high/low/throw/dp, while ken has like 5x the amount of options when rushing in
at keep away and zoning ryu takes a huge shit on ken, but on rushdown ken holds his own better than ryu
On second thought you’re right about his mix up game. Ken’s rush downs can get pretty ridiculous. Jesus, I wish I had poongko’s Ryu rush down skills. Or betteryet, Daigo’s Ryu skills.
