Not sure how you know Yugioh “tournament level play is alot harder” than SF considering you’ve never been to Final Round, SBO quals, ECT, a simple Utah ranbat, or any other SF tournaments.

Why am I so lucky?
So I was looking for a new PS3 game called Prototype and my last stop happened to be FYE. Of course they said it doesnt come out till the 10th so I dropped my head in sadness in the PS3 isle. That head drop in sadness quickly turned to wtfness. I saw a box that looked PS3 sized but had SF4 art on it. Whats this I pondered as I picked it up. glancing at the price tag i fucking freaked out 149.99. “TE stick” I was so blown away. The fact the FYE of ALL locations had a TE stick. however, my bank only lets me have 100 available at the time of a deposit. That being the case, my friend Adam then looks at me and says “Need help?” He all and all gave me 65 dollars so I could get my very own TE.
So now I FINALLY have a GOOD stick thanks to a long time firend. Now my next issue arises. I need to get an octo gate. I cant handle this square gate shit. **BTW john GGs last night. My message thing froze so I couldnt send you anything. **
Finally. Thomas. If you live in Roy Utah well, thats pimp because I do as well. If you would like to meet up and get some casuals in that would be fine. Or meet with the Ogden peeps with me on thursday. Keep in mind, if you cant beat any of us and/or we have close games, then you wont take a whole tourney.
@Thomas5000…What is firing me up is the fact that you come on here acting like king shit. We have a scene going that exists solely because of SFIV, that is what we primarily play. We will not be having major tournaments (ranbats) for older games unless there is a huge demand and that’s very unlikely. Last ranbat, we had a classic setup with CvS2/Garou/3s going all night, it had a crowd the entire time (5 hours)…but the focus was SFIV.
Just don’t come on here with this bullshit attitude, we don’t want it. That’s what Ernie tried to do and he hasn’t posted but one or two times since.
That doesn’t mean that we wouldn’t welcome him or you…but show some fucking respect.

Thomas5000, at least come out for casuals before knocking the SFIV scene here. I can appreciate your opinion (even though yugioh is pretty homo), but understand that we have a lot of dedicated people here that take this very seriously. I’m sure you meant no harm, but don’t forget that it’s easy to take words out of context without the tone of voice you normally hear in person.
So, yeah… Come out for casuals Thursday and we’ll kick it a little bit, get to know each other, and then maybe we’ll have a better understanding of one another. I’ve contacted Ernie about casuals, too. And even though he may have started off on the wrong foot in this thread, I think he sounds like a cool guys, and probably a good competitor.
And lol @ “is it the same Ernie?”. Last time I checked, there were like 8 or 9 black people in the whole state of Utah.

Funny thing is that Ernie knew about it the whole time and he didn’t tell you! If you emulate, nay, love Ernie (nuthug? that’s his favorite term), this isn’t going to be your thing. I recommend looking through the thread for Ernie’s comments. Some other people here knew him from way back. He was saying EXACTLY what you are saying. Coming up to a group of of 3 dozen SF IV players and telling them they suck because they’re not playing a hard-to-find ten-year-old game for systems that aren’t in production anymore isn’t going to get you very far.
Don’t make me regret telling you about this. Just lay low and be chill, if you’re so curious and disdainful, come out and see what’s up, then make your judgments there. No need to shit on something you know nothing about. Sheesh. Talk about low class.
And everyone’s told you the truth. Konqrr never gets mad, and Andrew will destroy you at MvC2, Third Strike, anything. And you’re not taking first at the SF IV tournament.
One last thing: I don’t blame you for the comment about footsies, but it seems some players here are sensitive to criticism about play. I personally am not; I got done with a match and Matty gave me a critique and I was very happy to get it. But it seems like some people either already know or don’t care to hear, so just a heads-up.

I take all criticism about my play seriously. I can play footsies ok, but I know I need some serious work. I played the hell out of previous SF games but I was a scrub back then and I never got into 3s…so myself like a lot of others here are back into the scene because of SFIV.

My SFIV is laggin like shit… at first I thought it was internet connection but now the picture lags really really bad even offline…
My SFIV cd is really scratched and beat up…
My 360 Console hasnt really been taken care of too well either… (its the 2nd one I have cuz the first one I fuckd up bad as well…)
I’ll try another sfiv cd but is there any way it could be the console?
