Alright, the 1.5 writeup is hot off the presses. Per request of “The Docta”, go to the UTSF blog to read it. I won’t apologize for the delay; family’s first, plus I want to put out something that I feel good about. If I’m not feeling it, for whatever reason, I wait and come back to it. I don’t like rush jobs, and I don’t think that you do either.
That being said, I really hope you like the writeup.

Good matches, everybody. Just got done watching some of them, and there are impressive showings by pretty much everybody.
On a somewhat related note, how do you guys record the match vids? Recording match vids is something that I’ve been wanting to do myself for a very long time. Since before I met some of the “Utah Street Fighters”, I would always play various fighting games with my friends. We mainly played Guilty Gear, Soul Calibur, Garou and various doujin fighters. We played them for years (and still do, to an extent), and I’ve been wanting to record some of the matches we’ve had (hell, I want to record some of the casual matches that I’ll have with you guys in the future!). Thing is, I am not sure how to go about doing this, as there are many methods to go about recording them. I want the quality of them to be like the quality of the ones that are on Matty’s YT account; as if you were actually playing it, not just setting a video camera on a table that’s adjacent to my television and going from there.
Any help would be appreciated. So, thanks!
Andy, please email the brackets for last ranbat. I’m going to actually go through and fix the video titles. It’s bugging the shit out of me.
Btw, did Kyle leave the audio equipment with you? Next time we get together we should do a few recording tests to get the audio level right. The audio ended up being REALLY loud in these videos.
We use the Hauppauge HD PVR 1212 to record the matches. They run about $200… not including any of the audio equipment if you want commentary.

As far as me getting into BlazBlue? I’ve already played it, and I like it a lot. I went to Japan about a month and a half ago, and I played pretty much everything that’s going to be coming out in the states later on this year and then some. So yea, I’ll be getting into BlazBlue…and KOF XII, Tekken 6, and Tatsunoko vs Capcom (and Virtua Fighter 5:R if Sega ever decides to release it).

Gustavos got it right… the only thing that kept me from reaching top 10 last ranbat was not practicing specific matchups… me beatin Jacob was as easy as one button “Strong Punch” aka Brians favorite guiles punch… seriously u can keep gief zoned out with that one button for the win… I wish i woulda known that before… Im not gonna get nervous anymore… I promise better games!
