USFIV has just become a game of gimmicks and nothing more apparently

it’s called a fighting game. gimmicks, tricks/shenanigans are a staple. mindfu*king your opponent is the most satisfying thing about games. just keep practicing and you’ll be able to do the same.

I know it’s legit. I was just mentioning stuff a bit worse than a Vega wall dive

you mean the game has devolved to psuedo footsies where it doesn’t matter how much stray damage you do, because statistically you will get knocked down hard once and lose an equiviocal amount of life, if not more in less than 10 seconds.

what insight

its not gimics its just how the game is. some people enjoy it, others cant stand it. if you dont like the “gimics” but still like the game… take it in smaller doses.

When I fell from 2000+pp to like less than 1000pp, going from chun to try to learn ryu, I think can see what the op is saying. For awhile I was kind of happy to have less skilled player pool to get good against, like I could pick “same skill” right? Turns out those people are almost as hard to fight as people with real skill. Between the lag that these players thrive in, the oki they rely on for damage, the random scrubbing, and an inability to condition them or to figure out any thought behind their play, it quickly becomes absurd playing them, like every decision is a wtf moment, that sadly seems to work.

There is a guy on 360 “godslayer” something like that, seemed to be the worst player I’ve ever come up against, but for the life of me I couldn’t beat them. Was thinking, “This lucky fuck”, watched the replay and dude has like 20,000 games in, got those gimmicks polished to a shine, still has like less than 1000pp somehow. Advice is to look for more skilled, playing that scrub skill is some frustration to lose to, and the habits you could pick up will be a setback. They say learning other characters will make you better, but I actually got worse playing these fools. Look for more skilled, gotta be like 1400pp and up or it’s gonna be all dealing with bs, and you can’t even be happy that you won.

Along with unblockable j.hp, good buttons and ultras you can combo into, but yeah nerf Vega.

The way Guile can be played is lame. The same as anyone else.

OP sounds like a fucking scrub

but bro, it’s what the developers wanted for Vega because that’s what the player base wanted. Cosmic Heel was beyond braindead and very powerful, so much that it tarnished the vision they had for him.

HOW CAN Y;OU NOT UNDERSTAND!!!11

I disagree. Some characters are clearly designed to rush down and others are meant to zone. It’s innate to the game’s balance.

This is why I dont try to do ranked… its all retarded people playing there. I have alot better matches in endless or sets with friends I’ve picked up from ranked and endless.

I actually referred to gimmicks being lame, and I said myself that I hate using lame tactics to beat them because it’s boring throwing booms and anti-airing all day.

Rolento is one of the characters that I think is actually fine, it’s easy to react to his roll’s and overheads with a FK.

Yeah that’s what I have tried to stick to these days. It takes ages to find a match half the time that’s the only problem haha.

That’s what I’m talking about, it’s not even fun if you win.

Some people get so butthurt it’s funny.

You obviously don’t understand what I was trying to say so be on your way.

Basicly the reason I stoped playing Rankeds.

I sometimes play endless with random people, but the most time I stick with some tournament players from Middle/WestEurope to improve.
It’s more fun playing people who actually relai on footsies and whiffpunish, rather than gimmiks and online tactics.

Not only does op suck at the game, he sucks at fighting games and sucks at learning how to quote multiple people in 1 post.

Why did you say the game, and then fighting games? Street fighter is a fighting game so just sucks at fighting games would have been enough.

I’m jealous of your ability to know all of that information from a post about what bores me Street fighter IV.

I also happen to prefer quoting people separately, so?

I think this has probably gone on long enough.
