Anyway, I could have made sure there wasn’t any upload problem before hand, but enthusiasm won over the logical thinking part of me^^.
I’ve finished uploading the first part, and the second one is on the way. Had to repack some files, and since my CPU is pretty slow, it took some time…
Thanks^^. There’s love for sure, but more than that, a freaking “perfectionism + free schedule” killer combo. I might have spent more time on the mod all together than playing the game yet (got it a few weeks ago).
I really need to get back to my studies now though (starting a phd…) :p.
These stages look incredible. I really like the dedication you’ve put implementing these stages, and they really fit the setting of Street Fighter! Big thumbs up, and guys, give him plenty of likes!
Congrats on finishing, doshu! FWIW, I also spend much more time modding than playing…
@sloth86
That looks great, man! Did you export all of the EMGs and then combine them into a single mesh in 3DSMax or whatever, then convert/import that single mesh as an EMG?
@hunterk
Thanks for updating the wiki that fast :). Could I ask you just one thing though : in addition to a link to the above “complete post”, to write a small description of the mod and it’s purpose (like you did for dhoushi’s simplified stages).
For exemple, something like: “A whole new set of 21 stages + a new Stage Select screen + BGM fitting the stage’s atmosphere – build from edits of the training stage to run the game even on very low-end PCs”.
It would also be great if you could link one of the Select Stage preview picture ;).
Thanks !
edit:
btw, concerning the yet to come individual Training Stages, I wanted to ask you one thing: would it be better to release them in pack(s) to avoid making the wiki hard to read (the 21 mod stages + around 10 others = 30+ stages…) ?
Everybody keeps complaining about the feet and hands being too manly and huge and everything, but it is the style of the game… Am I the only one that feels so pissed about that kinda thing? There are other games with more proper proportions, but this game is in a style all its own.
Doshu, awesome work. But how would one make their own BGMs for SFIV? Is there a tutorial for it so that I can get the music to be the right file format or is there some sort of program?
Essentially, yeah. Although there was also some resculpting and some weight painting involved.
Ha agreed. I look at other games like soul calibur, tekken, etc…it all looks the same to me. all characters have the same body. Not that those games dont look good, but imo SF4 managed to be different and stay true to traditional SF art pretty well.
