Hi all, I have been reading this thread daily but I’m new to ssf4 skinning, I couldn’t find a Hi-Res skin for Seth, so I make one myself. I’ve changed his body material to emission type, as such, this skin may get overly bright in certain stages, it works very well in most of the sages tho. This is my first release, I hope you like it

You have to edit normal map file (.nmp) to delete pants effect on the nude legs.
If someone figures out how battle damage is applied to Oni’s costume I think it would be pretty sweet to mod Seth’s Alt 2 to slowly show battle damage until he looks like the costume normally does (or worse)
These mods are even better than mine
I think it is impossible because Oni’s body in this costume is a mix of many fragment piece not the whole odyb so if some one split Seth’s body into 5 pieces like oni maybe the effect’ll work for seth too.
Kunoichi from Samurai Warriors
My first mods for Ibuki.Yeah I made her like Kunoichi from Samurai warriors franchise(since they are both Kunoichi).I also add her Takeda clan symbol and golden kunai.

Anybody else ever notice how Ibuki’s 3rd costume’s backpack is practically burned into her texture?

That’s probably due to them using an ambient occlusion pass to get the shadows the backpack strap would cast.
Actually, it’s on the texture itself. looks like she’s been sweating in the exact shape of a backpack on her back, and like she’s got burned up by her neck.
Yeah, AO goes on the texture itself. Usually as an overlay or multiplied on top of the diffuse texture. Really wish I could get a hold of their OG files, layers and all.

The ambient occlusion is baked into the models themselves. Each vertex has an ambient color value associated with it. If you look at the end of an EMG in a hex editor, it lists all the vertices, each vertex being a 64 byte block.

Each block contains info on the xyz position, ij normal vector, uv texture coordintes, etc of the vertex. Each block also has an ambient color value given in HTML code. It’s A7A7A7 here in the boxed vertex, which is HTML for some shade of gray.

-Swapped the original’s ridiculous hairdo with MK9 Sonya’s hair
-Skin based on costume 4, with gown meshed shrinked and materials editted
The ponytail is a little stiff, but nothing can be done until we can add bones to it.
Only 1 color is included, will crashed if pick other color.

You know, her skin doesnt really match her hair. You did a great job but I think you should mess around with the skin color and balance it out too.

I did try using costume 1 jacket, but the animation is all screwed up because the bone ID does not match, so I just shrink the original gown instead
