How would I go about taking that chain (cloth) of Rose’s and put it on a different mod? (Specifically giving the chain to the Wu Blossom Rose).

@ eiSH: Easy. Download piecemontee’s SF4explorer. Open the obj.emo of the Andromeda Shun Rose. Look for the EMG entry for the scarf (which is the chain in that skin) and extract the chain as an .obj file. Then open the obj.emo of the Rose you want to give the chain to, look for the scarf entry again but now right click and inject the .obj (the chain). That should replace the scarf with the chain. Although the texture could be a problem, it’ll use the scarf texture!

Right, my goal is to do a pretty sweet model & skin adjustment to Rose’s Costume 3 (Alternate 2). However I’ll need help every step of the way, as the following steps are:
1: Adding EMG’s to .obj.emo files & giving them the correct name in the file via HxD’s Hex Editor
2: Moving vertices on a model file
3: Adding shinyness to textures.
Now I know there are tutorials to do all of these, but alas I keep getting stuck on one step int he tut’s which hinders progress, so I’ll have to keep coming back to ask for help.
Also since this thread is massive I’ve just started another thread as to not congest this thread with questions when there are awesome modifications to be posted, so if all help & answers could be posted in that thread that would be great & help a lot!
So, 1st question. I’d like to take the hair model from Kraga Phan’s awesome “Wu The Lotus Blossum” model:

More model swapping silliness. I just put different body parts together: akuma’s feet, chun-li’s second costume arms, and cammy’s chest were switched in chun-li’s 4th costume. I made those different parts “blend” together by using alpha channels to make their transparencies fade into each other. However this also made painting textures really difficult since a lot of things are on separate DDSs.

When I compare the modified stage to the original I do notice a moderate difference in performance. I haven’t run any FPS benchmarks, and haven’t got any feedback from anyone else about it so I hope it’s not in my head. Logically it would be better for raw performance. I’m running on a non-gaming laptop so I think it’s a good computer to do it on. I was thinking I might be able to finish the solar eclipse one tonight as well, but I have come to a crossroad on the modification. Either I find the 2 birds that jump around the hippos in the stage file and disable them, turn the hippos on (which I immediately noticed a drop in performance with them on), or keep the hippos disabled and just let 2 birds stand on air. :yawn:
It is clear to me that the stages have some elements that are embedded within that would take some understanding that I lack.
The game will crash even if colour 1 is selected, unless appropriately renamed CNL_04.bsr and CNL_04.csb files are provided.
Quick note about the title…I’ve been aware of the problem and I’m working on it. Something is screwed up about title changes and this thread specifically got zonked during the last upgrade.
Keep pushing them polys and shoving them pixels.

Awesome work!!! Model swapping really open up a lot of possibilities for modding. Somehow the costume4 feet sneak in when using Hyakuretsukyaku(repeating leg button press move)
Any chance using Cammy alternate 2’s boots as feet? This game really have ridiculously big feet.
I try using your model swap modding script on the other thread, and it gives me error4096. Did I set the variables wrong?
