yeah, the vfx mods in my mod pack are effed-up. You should get rid of them. If you didn’t make a backup, I’ll upload a copy of the originals later. I guess I’d better fix that before many more people run into it…
Alright, I got the new version (without vfx mods) on the wiki
I tried to get rid of Ibuki’s pants, but didn’t work. Can someone please try this and see if its possible?
All I get was a black border line around her pants.
Do you mean her default costume? I don’t think it’s possible because the pants are actually her legs. Removing them will leave her with a big gap in her model.
Same with her back.
Hey Piuma!! Can you please convert your title picture(the one with the moon and clouds on it) to AE? I have used that on Vanilla and it is my favorite.
you should be able to have someone lead you in the right direction if you stick around. One obvious thing that also needs to be thought of, is removing the sound effects of the handcuffs as well since it would be pretty awkward to hear it when they aren’t in sight.
I’ve copied the whole thing into the RYX file and nothing changed when i tried the default costume. When i went on to try costume 5, it crashed. Help me please.

That looks really cool! As you’ve probably figured out, straight-up painting on textures generally looks awful (except, of course, things like face-paint and decals, as you’ve done), so selecting things (use the magic wand tool with some extra tolerance to get just the hair) and adjusting the hue/saturation is usually the best way to go. This preserves the original highlights/wrinkles/etc. Is that what you meant?
Also, I think the big fishnets look fine, but if you want to go smaller, you might have to get a higher-res texture to preserve details, since it’s already getting distorted and crunchy in the closeups (compare with closeups from a higher-res injection: http://i52.tinypic.com/24lvc0l.jpg). If you decide to go that way, I can hook you up with a col.emb file that will accept the larger DDS.
@Storm Shadow
I haven’t tried to remove his handcuffs, specifically, but if they’re made out of metal, the normal col-based transparency method won’t work unless/until you change the material. Give NanjouJ’s material tool a shot and then try again on the transparency.
For better effects on net, lace, etc… you may use a bigger dds: Modding SSF4AE for PC (NO DLC UNLOCKS!) Ibuki has only one dds so after editing her col.emb file with a 2048x2048 dds you’ll only have to change the dds length in the index (offset 24 you change F0 55 15 00 for F0 55 55 00)
edit: wrote a bit fast, it’s at offset 24 [S]not 28[/S]
edit2: owned by hunterk You can get rid of the handcuffs by turning them off in sf4explorer (in the obj.emo)
Wow. I am an idiot. I was making something incredibly simple into something super complex. Thank you for the tip…had to turn off the cuffs and the chain individually…worked perfectly. As for the jingling sound…I will just pretend he has loose change in his pockets!
