I’m no modder, nor can I ever aspire to get the skills you guys here have, but I am a huge fan of your work. In fact, I bought a new computer to play SSFIV AE PC because of all the awesome mods being made here, seriously.

Your stuff are my faves and I await each and every work with great anticipation. I guess the most I can contribute here is to occasionally give suggestions if you solicite them. For the Sakura swimsuit skin (damn I want to see this!), how about: 1-4 with cap, 5-8 without cap, 9 and 10 have her in two-piece bikinis. That would be cool.
I know goggles are a nice detail, but I don’t think they’re that important if you’re having a hard time finding a model for them- the bathing cap alone is great… it reminds me of an alternate outfit for Kasumi in DOA for the Playstation 1. ^___^
Liking that Makoto ‘No Gi’ mod made by Basara, too bad it’s only one color- hoping he completes the set. Or, perhaps (to Sloth86) you can modify your FFXIII Lightning mod to include a variant with Makoto in bikini/underwear with her regular hair and skin tone? Just a suggestion.

Thanks to Augh,Beserk-er and HunterK for the info and help on the materials tool. I messed around with it before I left for work and now I understand it. Once I get home and re up load all of my skins from my fatal error crash. I’ll test it out some more…and to anyone else who might get a fatal error message from steam just update your drivers before doing anything else that did the trick for me.
Can anyone tell me which vfx file contains that chi/aura that evil ryu and oni give off?
“*. vfx.ptex.emz”. But these seem to be multiple DDS in multiple formats.
The problem is that it fails to inject, because DX5 DDS format does not work.

iirc some of them might actually be DXT1, or are just in strange aspect ratios such as 128x512 and suchwhat.
Double check your problem images with WTV (http://www.nvidia.com/object/windows_texture_viewer.html), you should be able to inject them.
I was never able to identify the source of a couple of tiny fragments of blue, furthest I got before I gave up was:

My theory is that one of Oni’s aura (a minor one) is programmed to have Blue tint, since you colored the texture it in red, it becomes purple-ish in-game
Same goes to Evil Ryu, his main aura has Yellow tint, it will become green if you inject blue texture

Yeah it seems really possible there’s a flag with an RGB blue number somewhere in… idfk lol. Some controller file or material flag somewhere. Didn’t know aboot the green Eryu aura, but that does seem to pretty much confirm it.
If Oni’s tinted aura is only a minor one, it might be feasible to make it invisible for good in the DDS alpha channel… just my theory
whereas Evil Ryu moders are out of luck lol
Finally I tried alternating with DX1 and DX5 without MipMap, and I managed to get control of all injections DDS.
But it has appeared exactly this problem:
Evil Ryu’s aura is green now… I’m about to give a header to the monitor…
… is there any way to remove the Evil Ryu fire aura , just for some color?

Like Berserkerererer just suggested, if you want it gone completely, you could swap those same aura files you just messed with for totally blank textures with blank/full black alpha channel(?)
But if I do that, I will lose the aura of fire in all colors. My idea was to keep it in a few colors.

Ahh ok, I misinterpreted the last part. Ehh depending on if there’s an actual material for the aura, you might be able to change the .emm for only certain colors. But I’m really uncertain if it references there or not :<

I suspect the material reference in question is in RYX.vfx.emz and GKX.vfx.emz
Actually, ONLY Evil Ryu’s Hdk_FLARE04 has stubborn yellow tint, technically you can make it into many color (except Blue) by balance out the yellow tint in the texture…
I don’t know of any color that would mix up with Yellow to become Blue
Alternatively, you possibly could just make Hdk_FLARE04 invisible but it will severely tone down his aura
