So, I’m a complete n00b at all of this, and I can’t really contribute much… but I figured at least I can try to fulfill my own request, right?

I like the idea of custom title screens, and I was going to try to create one from that Rose pic posted a bit back (sadly I think it’s just not the right size). I’ve been hunting around and know what an EMZ file is now, but… how exactly do I go about creating one, or converting a pic to a .emz?

I feel kinda’ silly asking that as a digital illustrator, but… I’ve honestly never dealt with that file type (at least not directly). :oops:

You don’t.

.emz is a container that SF4 puts things like textures and 3D models into. Title screen backgrounds need to be in .dds format and injected into title.emz using piecemontee’s assets explorer.

There’s probably more to it than that; I’m sure one of the people who have made their own custom title screens will be able to give you more help.

Hello, this is my first ā€˜model edit’ and I call it: Cammy rebalanced Cos-01

It’s a simple Cammy mod, where i have increased the ā€œbumps in her humpsā€ (Cammy ass mod) with science and frame data. Resulting in increased footsies at the cost of a bigger hurt-box (who knew?) anyway… here ya go!

Chun-Li - Jeans Pack
**UPDATE 15/09/11!: **Added 7 colors (Light-Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, Pink, Navy-Blue and Brown) to complete the pack of 10. Rearranged the colors to coincide with the game selector.

  • I have yet to resolve an artifact (yellow lines) of reflection in the pants of Chun-Li, since it does not appear to be due to the texture map of the outfit. As soon as I find the solution, I’ll update immediately.

FYI, I just got a DMCA takedown notice from the ESA–of which Capcom is a member–for the ā€œBionic Commando - Nathan Spencer v3ā€ mod from Ex Infiris.

Whether this is just a mistake by an overzealous bureaucrat or an indication of Capcom turning on the modding community, I can’t really say at this point, but I’m going to give Capcom the benefit of the doubt. Nevertheless, I would recommend everyone go ahead and make backups of any mods you want to keep, especially if it’s a character conversion that might be covered by copyright, just to be safe.

EDIT: I just opened a thread over at Capcom Unity about it, so hopefully I’ll hear something back soon. I’ll post here if I hear anything.

I had a backup of it on mediafire from when I converted it to AE. The link is dead now, of course, since mediafire has to take it down when requested and only put it back if there’s an appeal.

Is anyone working on some new Balrog Skins??? I would love to see Him with a Kimbo Slice themed Skin. Would look pretty nice using a modified Brutal Balrog with a thick ass beard,Tap out trunks and gloves, some Thuggish tattoos,Gold Fist necklace and chest hair to hide the tan lines.

Anyone encountered an inexplicable loss of correct UV coords on certain elements/poly strips before? It’s popping up pretty randomly, isn’t a mapping error, seems resistant to fixing through remapping the affected UV areas.

Strange as hell idd.

Edit: Seems to happen mostly around UV seams, so gonna test something. The affected stripe is definitely remapping to the area between the two halves of the headscarf. Those UV areas aren’t stitched though, and the badly mapped area is offset, why in ze hell mang. Will try various shit out.

Edit 2 Championship Edition: Yeah moving one half of the headscarf UVs to basically just occupy the same space as the other fixed it in this instance. In a lot of other cases that won’t fly though, so still will be good if anyone has any idea about the basis of this problem.

you need piecemontee’s Asset Explorer (aka SF4Viewer) to open the emz bundle, then use it to extract/inject the DDS textures. Have you worked with DDS textures before? If not, there’s some compression details (DXT1/3/5) to be aware of.
