Will we get to preorder this on PSN at all? And how big of a download will this be?
I don’t know, but I’m not pre-ordering a game that I bought 3 different versions of already. I’m also going to wait a few days after release to see if PSN tries to pull an okie-doke and release it as a free PS-plus game. They did it for VF5: FS when it came out, so there’s a possibility to not have to spend anything to get it if you already have the service.
It could definitely be the case with Sony bankrolling SFV, they’ve done it a bunch for other games recently like OlliOlli2.
Gonna pick this version up so i can dump my 360,the 360 and ps3 consoles are already irrelevant.
If this version doesn’t have online comparable to PC and no legacy controller support, I’ll pass and play MKX 'till SFV.
only a few days left
I am ready to rock
hope the con is good
Can’t wait! I traded in my console and I only have a ps4 since I’m waiting for SF5. Do we know yet if you get to play with PS3 players or just PS4? I wonder how it handles the 1 frame difference between the two since it said that the PS4 corrected this timing issue. I think the PS4 netcode will be good only because the MKX PS4 netcode seems to handle online similarly to the XBone, so hopefully it translates to USF4 as well.
Considering that reduced input delay is one of the selling points, I doubt that this is going to have cross play.
shocked that they’re actually using the LabZero patch
Now when it says “licensed Ps3” sticks, does that mean all PS3 sticks or what? Like the chimp boards and what not.
If it’s the Lab Zero driver, then it should support anything that the PS3 supports.
Will Toodles’ Cthulhu and PS360 work?
Never mind- I just asked Toodles if it will work and he said it should- if not he’ll make it happen. Woot!
Mad respect from me Capcom! For using Lab Zero’s driver! and releasing DMC4 SE! Just take my money
Is there any way to check if there’s any input latency differences between ps4 and ps3 controllers? Might end up being a deal breaker and the reason they’re ok with it. Hopefully they’re ok because they’re nice though.
I just think they’re being reasonable because the driver is available to use for free and it’s a 7 year old game that they’re asking people to (most likely) re-buy. It wouldn’t exactly be easy to sell if you’re also asking stick users to dump another 200 bucks just to play it the way they prefer.
I would buy this if I wasn’t so sure that the community would be even smaller than on PC, unless PS4/PS3 cross platform play is supported, which I haven’t seen any word of which most likely means it’s not supported.
No sound on Akuma intro ? [first video 1:17]
and graphic artifacts on characters when the camera change on Seth’s intro… [second video 5:00]

It looks exactly like the PS3 version.
I have two usb converters for PS1/PS2- and Saturn-controllers. They work flawlessly on PS3 and PC (no drivers required).
Do you think they’ll work with the Lab Zero driver?
edit:
Excellent!
