So far my new bnb is just st.mp>fuhajin>st.mp>HK pinwheel.
Both close and far strong do more damage than crouching forward, and far standing strong moving you forward ends up saving you a lot of meter. I havent had to FADC a fuhajin combo since I started Ultra. Does anybody know if you can EX Mid fuhajin a croucher and still land overhead? I thought of it but I hadnt gotten to try it. Also fresh Ranked is laughs. I’m about the 70th Juri on XBL right now in BP.
Max distance EX dive into U2 is fantastic. That expanded hitbox helped out a lot.
Decapre is a winnable match up, but very annoying.
Rolento is annoying as well but you get him in the corner, and you know your block strings and frame traps, it’s GG’s. He has absolutely no wake up game.
Hugo is laughable if you dont suck at zoning. Baiting EX Rush and punishing with U2 are good feels. He’s so fucking huge that Heavy Fuhajin hits him while he’s standing. You can throw it at a certain distances and damn near option select him with a fucking fireball. He thinks he’s safe NOPE right to the forehead. Tried to jump NOPE. Get back full screen.
I’ve only fought one Elena so I dont have much on her.
Poison is a battle of attrition. Her fireballs are huge and the speeds are weird. You can react dive kick if you are already in the air as long as you time it right and dont hit the fireball. In the corner, you can sometimes neutral jump her DP. It has a funky hit box and weird active frames.
Integrating the st.MP helps so much more than I thought it would. Now using double instead of FSE. What’s the reversal of choice? non-EX pinwheel? or just kinda have to take it?
i think elena gives juri some trouble. need to be on point with tk dives to deal with that focus (elena’s focus moves back a bit which can make your sweep/crMK/farHK whiff, and it outranges all of your normals)
Nice fuzzy guard back j.mp into LMH dive kick still works. I thought this wasn’t supposed to be possible because EX dive kick is the only shikusen we are supposed to be able to do off a back jump. But here I am doing it in practice mode. It seems that the instant overhead cancels the directional restriction if that even makes sense… Or it’s because the special cancellability overrides other rules.
As expected I can’t do IA dive kicks using U/B to U/F circle motion and I have a lot of trouble finding a good way to do it as low to the ground as before.
Ive grown so tired of fighting Hugo after Hugo, the wins are cool but my MUs arent really building.
On top of that tho its the same rotation of Decapre, Hugo, Akuma, Rolento and RYU, i havent seen a Poison or barely anyone else since the post was made. And not being able to link st.Lp has been rather annoying.
Yes, that works. EX Mid fireball is like +5 or +6 on block but overhead has 20+f startup. I’ve landing a couple killing blows that way. I’m sure they could have DPed or something if they’d been on point though.
Should be able to cr.mk right under poison’s dp no prob. Could do it in SFxT…should be able to do it here. Nope guess you can’t here…damn…I was really hoping to stuff it to that bimbo too…
I actually theory crafted with my friend about that pre-release but didn’t test it. Should come out like perfectly meaty I believe. Last active frame. My idea was j.hk cr.mp xx store OS pinwheel. Nobody online really delays wakeup enough/I’m not used to look for it enough to have tested it though.
I’ve been lurking the past few months since I picked up Juri. In the meantime i;ve cooked up a list of what works on who in regards cl.s.jab on crouchers as well as linking into cr.HP.
There are only 4 characters where standing jab will not work: Blanka, Chun li, EHonda and Elena. Dan might also be there, jab linked into itself yesterday but for the life of me I cant get it to work today. There are 13 characters where either any standing jab confirm whiffs after crossup MK, crossup lk (cammy) or both. Linking into cr.HP works on roughly half the cast.
The doc is open for editing and comments so yall can use it however you like. I did not cross reference the what works thread so im hoping I atleast expanded on our research rather than regurgitating it.
Elena’s crouching hurtbox is just plain stupid. When crouching, her head hops up and down. You can only hit a st.lp on crouching Elena when her head hops up. She also falls out of MK Pinwheel after cr.lk, st.lk, cr.lk. Sometimes I find Juri’s far lk coming out when I want the close version vs Elena.
i try to do close LK, plink MP (for far or close), but i get far LK, chained into stand jab (which works on her sometimes) and don’t react in time to do another MP plink
