It seems like none of Yang Slashes can be performed with Negative Edge. Can anybody confirm
Only EX Can’t be done with Negative edge, something I missed before. All normal ones can be including their followups.
This is on purpose I believe. IIRC I even think it was included in one of the official changelogs.
Just checked, you’re right they changed it in 2012. I wonder why.
It’s probably something to do with the low amount of hitstop making it easy to accidentally cancel into another Slash. If they wanted to make a change that would actually be useful, they should’ve made his command dash unable to be activated with negative edge, since that is something that occurs much more often when going for cr.MK xx Slashes.

Is there a possibility you could build a tool to parse USFIV code into a char data wiki page ? Or into an xml file per character a wiki could load and do the formatting ?

But can you punish with an SPD? If not, then it’s just a frame rounding issue with those supers.
Does Zangief have a different wakeup timing… at least vs Hugo? I made a video showing 1-2f invincible command grabs can punish Hugo’s whiff clap setups except for Zangief and I believe I did it at the earliest timing possible.
I also tested that normal timing for HP clap is meaty against everyone, but whiffs on Zangief. So I have to delay my HP Clap a bit for it to hit meaty on Gief. I didn’t show this on the video but that further proves that Zangief has different wakeup timing, invincible for a few frames during his wakeup, or Hugo’s clap somehow recovers faster when used on Gief.
It’s probably hitbox related, game is weird.

Maybe they discovered the bug but it was already too late to re-submit the fixed pack to MS/Sony.
I used Vega’s super against hugo and he kicked me in mid air and the characters froze but the background continued moving and the clock ticked down.
