Someone could have posted it, can’t expect me to find everything/read everything
Explored it a little more and proved my original theory about it having to do with Gouken recovering from the U2 causing it to stop scaling the stun.
A trade Ultra 2 results in more stun
Adon Super bug, apparently one of the hits, if it’s the only hit that lands and does counter-hit, makes the opponent automatically do MK.
The thread is only for issues pertaining specifically to ultra and further updates. Any already fixed bug is not being documented.
I wasn’t aware that it was already fixed. My bad.
Yeah it was fixed in AE2012. I do remember reading about it before a long time ago and it isn’t in USF4.
Oh men it was fun as hell, the posibilities were almost endless with that, especially with TAS
Interesting to note: it looks like it’s fixed for all versions in Edition select, further proof that ES isn’t truly letting you select those characters as they were in their respective editions.
Realized something I overlooked before:
EX Focus and all forms of Red Focus build meter on block. Level 1/2 EX Focus builds meter on block AND hit but since you can’t block level 3 it doesn’t matter. However level 1/2 Red Focus builds meter on block but not hit, same with EX Focus. I think this was an oversight. They shouldn’t build meter PERIOD since they are EX moves.
You can block level 3 if your in blockstun (like doing Rose U2 and do focus lvl 3 while they block it)
Also, while working on a project I found tons of differences between vanilla and ultra vanilla (unblockables doesn’t work, seth’s stun is 900 instead of 750 and also I’d say that they MIGHT have changed some hitboxes, but I’ll need more testing)
Interesting, yeah that’s all stuff I can’t just check via file differences because the files for Vanilla were totally different. I’d bet there are quite a number of changes. Probably a lot of bugs fixed too.
Yeah, also Ken infamous slow mo glitch doesn’t work, and you can’t get hit at all during a ‘‘cutscene’’ ultra (E.Honda U1 for example) and in ultra vanilla when Seth trades his legs special the opponent isn’t in the getting hit 100 times animation, there are tons and tons of little differences
Yeah, not that it matters since this thread is about USF4 bugs not edition select quirks. Someone should do a thread detailing all of the differences between characters from ES and their proper original versions. The only bug I felt was TOO big to ignore was Seth’s stun. That had to be mentioned because that’s not a minor bug you can overlook, that affects every matchup all the time. Plus it wasn’t like a quirk where it was an old bug got fixed, it was a totally new issue.
Blanka’s balls in super/vanilla version not having the correct hitboxes is actually a huge deal, i assume that he has the bigger hurtboxes too, but files would have to be checked.
Also noticed the weird turnaround eating inputs bug never made it to the file sent to capcom
First page, under systemwide.
oh missed it when i skimmed my bad bro
Happens, I miss stuff too, even just recently
I figured you just looked at Blanka and didn’t check system wide. I put it there because I remember it being discussed with illitirit that it was an issue with a couple of other characters too.
Curious, have you had it happen with Decapre’s crossunder resets?
I know it happens (or happened back in AE 2011) with some of E.Ryu’s meaty corner setups using LK tatsu. Sometimes doing the setups into Tatsu just results in standing LK, so it is definitely a problem.
Nah the only one I use with her is the cross under forward jump so you can get a crossup jump hk, so not impacted. Resetting with her is usually not worth it in that way. resets with overhead are quite nice though.
Didn’t see this posted on P1 under the characters.
Makoto U2. If you hit Makoto when she’s on the ground during the startup of her U2, you’ll see that the other person attempted it by seeing the Ultra bar flash and the name of the Ultra pop up. But she’ll still keep ultra meter if the move didn’t even make it off the ground. This may just be PC only, so I don’t know.
