I also agree that “ego’s” should be set aside for things such as this, it’s SBO, your on foreign soil and your representing your country, and if your stupid enough to be bashing amongst eachother when your representing your own country…all I can say is, that is sad indeed.
I’m pretty sure that when it comes down to it, I’m sure we’ll have a great team to go and represent our country, enter SBO, and yes, I want Team USA to stomp on them, I’m so sick of people licking the japanese players balls and worshiping them, we have to back our guys up. Stop the bickering, set aside the rivalries/ego’s for just a bit and represent your country with pride and respect, I am looking forward to the outcome of this, because I believe we’ll be representing for not just 3rdStrike but Tekken5 as well, to whomever makes it, I wish you the best of luck:pray: .
if you think about it… you don’t really need the triangle as your team for this.
Any person who is good enough with their character at high lvl can make it IMO. Just look at the koruda/kokujin team… 1 mid and 1 low tier char won… so sure you want to have the best the country has to offer, but not just in the “god tier” catagory. Ricky and justin’s chun’s are the top for USA, vic arguably has the best dudley, pyro has the best yun, sextaro has a random ass makoto and he does well pretty consistantly. Other’s already mentioned hsien, he apparentally has the best ken in the country. We have frankie for ryu, i’m unsure of who is the best urien player. Hugo is also good as we have seen from him being able to have a good poking game as well as a scary wakeup game…i dunno why people overlook him.
Overall i think that the character’s don’t really matter as long as they are good enough to compete with the top notch players in the US as well as the ability to adapt to playing against the japanese since some of them play in different styles then we normally see here.
The personalities thing really doesnt matter if they are playing for the country, but i won’t get into that since we really can’t predict any confilcts there right now since the EC is not determined yet and the WC teams are pretty much all good friends or atleast respect eachother.
I support both of the USA teams in SBO, and everyone should. As others said it is about the country vs other countries, not who is the absolute best here. Sure we do want the best of the best on our team but if things like pryo’s personality would interfere with it which he has shown before that it would then i don’t think that really is the “dream team” for the USA.
Best of luck to all who are competing in these qualifiers and to those who go to japan to represent USA.
Isn’t SBO gonna be one match? If so that could open up so many doors for people other than the guys everybody thinks is gonna be the winner.
I’ve beat’n so many “top” players one fight with alot of different characters thats not Ken,Chun,or Yun. Yall be tripp’n slipp’n on characters like Alex,Hugo,Elena,Yang,Akuma, etc.
how about a match between the 2 US team who WILL qualify for SBO4???
for example… before they head out to SBO4… make both team play each other … i wonder who would win?..
but then again… WHEN BOTH TEAMS STEPS INTO JAPANESE SOIL… it’s gonna be a whole different story… it’s going to be more of a USA vs JPN mentality rather than USA vs USA thats for sure… oh well hope they do well against JPN…
