The overall opinion of the new KoF seems fairly poor in a widespread manner. I had high hopes for this game…guess I’ll stick with SFHDR and SFIV…pretty much in that order.
guys I trying to build the tournament scene in the upstate but I really need your help with the next two, the darkside games tourney on Aug 15th and the Gvegas beatdown on Aug 30th. Both are at new venues and I really want them to continue hosting tournaments for me, so please if you have signed up make sure you try to bring one friend and if you have not signed up, what are you waiting for? Do it. 
But both of these places are open to other tournaments as well includeing non fighting games. So if you are interested in them hosting others, the owners will be there on both tournaments so get a list of people you know that would attend a Gears of War tournament for example, and see if they will host them. I can tell you they are open to the Idea.
I just want the Upstate to represent and in the spirt of that I am going to do a 5 on 5 tournament for SF4 added to the GVegas schedule. It will run after the tourney and will be a Low Country, Cola, Georgia, Upstate SC, and NC. The top 5 finishers in each region will qualify for the tourney. Since there are an uneven number of teams the winner of the SF4 singles will earn his team a buy in the first round unless there are not enough people from one region to play. So start practicing.

There just wasn’t enough interest at SEB from the Atlanta scene, and there were big name players there that weren’t even playing.
EDIT: and HDR is going to replace it. Yippee!
yea I know man I am trying to talk Larry into on the forum but to no avail. I wanted to try to go this year but with no SC4 there is not a lot of reason to, as the only game I would play would be SF4 and HDR
I’m posting this just in case. I dont know if anybody in upstate would be interested in the circuit idea (due to traveling) but it does give the midlands a minimum of 6 new tourneys for the next 6 months.

Me, U-Volt, and Richie and Bob from D’Avinos have been discussing this for a few weeks now and this is the starting framework. It’s a new format for all involved so everybody is open to suggestions!
If this works out well they want to do new “seasons” featuring different mixes of fighting games!

copy of 3rd strike or GGAC
TVS need to be CRT 19in or better and not lag(if they lag we cant use them and you wont get your venue for free, you know if it lags.) This means for each tournament you only pay $7.50. If you enter in all 6 tournaments it can save you a lot of money. I only need a total of 12 TV’s though so sign up early. 6 slots left.
